Aria nodded. She understood now. It was raining outside, so there might be a thunderstorm. If there was one, Aria would be there for Sage. She always would. "It's okay. There might actually be a storm coming in soon... so just try your best to block out the noise okay?" The girl whispered softly to him. "I don't hate you either. I'll always be here for you Sage. I can promise you that." She said with a gentle smile.

Sage sighed when she mentioned the weather and nodded. "I know," he groaned. But he gave the girl a soft smile when she promised she'd always be there for him. "I know that too," he hummed lightly. "You'll just have to be patient with me," he sighed. "I come with a lot of baggage," he hummed.

Aria chuckled. "Yes you do." The girl said playfully. She smiled and got up to take a quick shower before the storm hit. She wanted to make it quick so she could be by Sage's side the whole time. The girl turned on the water and hopped in, not taking long at all. She was out quickly, and got dried off before getting dressed in some comfy clothes.

Sage chuckled lightly at her joke and then sort of did some paperwork while she showered before wandering back over to the bed to curl up next to her happily.

Aria flopped down on the bed and wrapped her arms around the boy. The storm came soon later, and Aria got worried about Sage. Lightning flashed and thunder shook the castle. Honsetly, Aria was a little shooken up... but she didn't know if Sage was okay.

Sage was more than happy to curl up with aria, though when the storm came, he admittedly got nervous and got up to pace around, eyeing the clouds nervously. He jumped and yelped at the first clash of thunder though, scurrying over to bury himself into aria, heart pounding.

Aria watched Sage pace around nervously. When he came back to the bed and practically buried himself against Aria, the girl held him close and laid her head on top of his, hoping it would calm him down a bit. "It's okay." The girl murmured. She heard the handle to the door turn, and looked over to see Caroline holding her stuffed animal and crying. "Awe sweetheart, come here." Aria cooed to the little girl. Caroline ran over to Aria and hopped in bed, curling up against her mothers side. Edited at June 22, 2023 05:59 PM by Brookfield Stables

Sage couldn't help but chuckle at the fact that both he and his two year old daughter were terrified of the storm. He wished he could be strong for her, but the loud noises and light flashes just reminded him of awful wars and things from his past, and he couldn't help but flinch and jump anytime he heard thunder or saw lightning. So, poor Aria was pretty much just trying to keep them both calm.

Aria was fine with... taking care of a nineteen year old, and an almost two year old. She sort of chuckled at that thought. Caroline had fallen asleep rather quickly, so Aria wrapped an arm around her comfortingly. The girl ran her other hand through Sages messy hair and smiled over at him.

Sage was glad that Caroline could fall asleep and calm down. He wished he could do that, unfortunately he stayed up, still panicking a bit as the storm went on. Luckily, he had Aria there, and the only thing keeping him from actually freaking out was her hand running through his hair soothingly.
