I'm starting to feel better finally lol but thank you!) When they arrived at the bar they sat at the counter looking around at their surroundings the rusticness was pretty cool it made Maxine think of those medieval pubs she wondered if it was one at one point... she was mid thought when a guy around her age approached "Hey babe... you're new around here aren't ya?" He asked "Pardon?" She asked looking the man up and down as he leaned on the bar beside her "You new here?" He asked more to the point as he raised a brow "Yeah I am... I'm here on a little vacation with my husband." She explained pointing to Sage "That little shrimp? You can do so much better baby..." he chuckled "If you think you're better then my husband in comparison you're sorely mistaken..." Maxine chuckled "Move along before you get your ass handed to you..." Maxine warned. |

Sage eyed the other man as he talked to Max, knowing the girl probably wouldn't want him to attack someone and get them kicked out. Though, the murderous glint in his eyes told the other man all he needed to know, if he'd take his eyes away from max for a moment. After his little insult, he rolled his eyes and spoke up. "If you keep sweet talking her like that it won't be me who kills you," he hummed in a rather casual but threatening manner. "Though, I must say it would be quite fun to do myself. Maybe she'll leave me a piece or two." |

"If you're gonna whoop my ass baby go for it..." the man said with a smirk "Forget about him..." he said wrapping an arm around her waist and pulling her into him and off the stool she was sitting on only to be pushed away and backward onto a nearby table that fell... of course when he got up he was pissed "You little bitch!" He shouted grabbing her by the wrists. She didn't much care she only kicked him away and turned her back on him... However when he continued his unwanted advanced Maxine shot a look back at Sage yanking her arms away and kicking the man back again "You're gonna be his bitch now..." Maxine hissed "Don't kill him... just make sure he gets the message to back off..." She whispered to Sage as she rubbed her wrists. |

Sage couldn't help but smirk when Max knocked the man down, though when he grabbed Max again, he forgot about letting Max fight her own battles and stomped over to the man. He snorted when she told him not to kill the man...it was a direct order, so he couldn't do anything different. He would have, but he couldn't now...though maybe that was a good thing. The froze time around them and extended his claws and fangs before leaping at the man, and a split second layer the man was cowering against the wall, deep claw marks on his chest. Sage kept advancing on the man, despite his cries to stop...he didn't particularly care, and it was pretty fun scaring this dude.So, he kept snarling and kept advancing. If Max wanted him to stop she'd tell him. But he was really, really pissed at this dude right about then, so he wanted to scare him a little bit. Ok, a lot...and he'd done that, but still. This was pretty darn satisfying. |

It wasn't that Max couldn't handle herself... it was that he clearly wasn't going to take the hint from her... So she let herself take a small step back and did one of the girliest things she'd ever done (Aside from wearing a dress...) and let her husband take it from here, she could fight her own battles yeah but this man needed the point to get across and her doing it wasn't going to do anything even with her powers. Maxine watched Sage handle things she was quite proud of him though she didn't agree with everything she was glad to see the man finally had gotten the message "Okay Sage... its okay... he's got the message now..." she told him kneeling beside the man and healing the clawmarks in his chest though she left the scars as a reminder to him "Next time a girl tells you to back the hell off... back the hell off." she hissed her eyes flashing a bright blue before she got up and turned back to Sage "Lets get our food and get outta here." she told him. |

Sage was fully intending to pounce on the man again, though he halted when Max told him to stop. It was, admittedly, a bit difficult, but he didn't want to upset her. They were supposed to be having a good time here. He retracted his claws and fangs, and unfroze the rest of the place after Max had healed the man. "Touch her again and I will actually kill you," he grumbled before nodding in response to Max and walking off with her. |

Maxine nodded in approval and thanked him before the two of them left with their food. When they were back at their cabin Max grabbed a blanket and the two of them headed down to the beach for their picnic "That was pretty hot how you stood up for me." She said biting into her burrito. |

Sage stick close to Max for the rest of the night. Well, closer than usual. He was still a bit..weary, he supposed. He knew she could defend herself, but still. He was glad to eat though...he'd gotten hungry. Scaring people like that did tend to take energy, since he'd used powers. He glanced over at Max when she spoke and lifted a shoulder in a shrug. "That's my job, babe," he chuckled. "but I'll definitely take the compliment." |

Maxine gave him a sly smile and relaxed against her husband as she ate "I know but it was still hot." She giggled. After she'd finished her dinner she sighed contently and closed her eyes listening to the rolling waves "We should do this more often." She said after a long silence "This is amazing..." |

Sage smiled and hummed in agreement, wrapping his arms around the girl and cuddling up a bit. "It is quite nice," he agreed. Then he giggled. "You're biased...you think everything I do is hot. I could fall flat on my face and you'd find something hot about it," he teased the girl lightly. |
