"If you want to, go ahead. I'll listen and stay awake for you"

"No, its okay, just sleep, I'll be fine," she sighed, rolling over and getting comfortable to read.

"Baby, no..Now I feel bad..." He murmured, placing a hand on her shoulder and sitting up. "Come here" He said, pulling her closer. "Read to me, darling"

"Kai, its fine, just go sleep, you're just gonna fall asleep anyway," she muttered, getting up out of bed. She took a blanket and her book, going out to their balcony overlooking the gardens and settled into a chair, getting comfortable.

"Lorelei..." He pleaded, sighing and getting up. He grabbed his keys and poked his head out to Lorelei. "I'm running to th store. I'll be right back. I love you" He said, leaving.

|
"Okay," she muttered, already invested in her book.

Kai drove to the store, picked up a redbull for Lorelei along with her favorite ice cream, and a little bookmark that looked like one she'd like. He then drove to the bookstore and picked up a 'cozy kit' for her. Fuzzy socks, a mug, a bokark pack, and a $50 coffee card. He drove hom and wrote a note, leaving the things on the counter. Lorelei, I'm sorry for being rude earlier. I'm not trying to buy your love, I just felt bad. I love you, Kai

Lorelei was still invested in her book by the time he'd come back. It was a few hours later that she actually put it down and wandered over to the kitchen. She smiled seeing the gift and read the note. Loreleis gaze softened. She didn't mean to upset him. He hadn't been rude, she had just been frustrated, but definitely not with him. Lorelei found Kai in bed, sleeping, so she crawled in under the covers, hugging him close, waiting for him to wake.

Kai felt her movement and his eyes opened slowly. "Hey, baby" He said, voice thick with sleep

Lorelei smiled softly, combing her fingers through his hair. "Hi, honey," she whispered softly. "Thank you for the presents," she smiled, humming softly. "You weren't being annoying or rude, okay? I'm sorry, I just got a bit frustrated, but it wasn't your fault,"
