Remy remained asleep.

Sage stayed settled in, but wrapped himself around the egg, fanning it gently again.

Remy woke a little while later, smiling over at him sleepily. "Hey," he hummed softly.

Sage smiled down at Remy when he woke."hey," he hummed. "Sleep good?"

Remy nodded, "Yeah, i did" he hummed. "Are you hungry? I can go get breakfast,"

Sage smiled softly and then grunted with a nod when he mentioned breakfast. "Now that you mention it, yeah," he chuckled softly. "You hunted yesterday, are you sure," he added, not wanting Remy to feel like he had to do extra work. Sage could hunt too if Remy wanted a day off of that job

"Its okay, I can do it," he smiled softly, pecking Sages lips. "Anything you want?" he asked.

Sage smiled and nodded, kissing Remy back, humming a soft "thanks, babe." He shook his head when Remy asked if he wanted anything specific, chuckling softly. "Whatever's quickest," he noted with amusement

Remy nodded, heading out, "Okay, love you!" He smiled, then left going to hunt. On his way back, he caught sight of a group or merpeople surrounding Ally. "You gave an egg to those freaks?!" One of them questioned menacingly. Remy backed away, hiding behind a rock, scared, yet concerned for Ally. "Traitor!" One yelled. "Get her!" Another yelled.

Sage nodded happily, settling down with the egg. He was happy to relax there and fan it, though when a group of merpeople barged in, he was quick to curl around it defensively, teeth bared and dagger in hand the moment he saw their own weapons. He heard commotion down in the square too, and his heart dropped in his chest. Was Remy ok? He was suddenly so scared something had happened to him. And what if he couldn't protect the egg? If Remy came back and he'd failed, what then? He was so worried when the first merman attacked him, he barely recovered and earned a large gash across his chest before he'd parried the blade and pushed him back roughly
