Sage couldn't keep the grin off his face when he noticed the expression that formed on her face when she saw his outfit, snickering softly. "I don't want anything," he mused. "Though I did think I would be fun to surprise you," he admitted with a chuckle, snorting softly in response to her next comment, sort of watching her circle him, grin lingering on his face. It was all just rediculous, really....but it was also fun, and they could stand to be a little bit goofy. There was no harm in that.

Mari raised a brow at him, his laugh and that grin bringing a smile to her face. She loved the hound of it all. She loved how his chest erupted with laughter, or how his smile just seemed to light the room up. Perfect, all of them, and she'd never stop thinking that. She sort of paused at his shoulder when he spoke though, a bit of a grin spreading across her face. "You sure you don't want anything? You don't exactly dress up like this just to surprise your wife," she whispered in amusement before leaning in to press her lips lightly to his.

Sage sort of chuckled softly and then pouted at her once the kiss had ended. "Sure I could," he protested lightly. "You said you wanted me to do stuff like this so I'm doing it," he added, teasing her lightly, adding another peck to her lips. "Though I suppose I'm open to any ideas," he added after a moment or so, leaning back against the counter. He didn't really care what happened next...he'd just wanted to surprise her. Make her laugh. That was all he really needed.

Mari looked down at him with a rather playful grin. "I really love it," she hummed as her hands slipped up his shoulders with an amused laugh. "I think you should fashion more outfits like this, you know. They really suit you," she giggled playfully after a moment or two. She sort of hummed when he said he was open to ideas, then shrugged gently, then her expression twisted when he we went to moved back against the counter. "Uhm, no, right now you're mine," he muttered to him, gently tugging on his arm.

Sage couldn't help but snicker softly in response to her comments, humming softly. "Well, I can't do much while the kids are awake," he sort of huffed. Though, when she tugged at him, he couldn't help but chuckle again, letting her pull him back over to her. "Yours," he sort of teased her. "I can't be yours and lean against the counter," he added, clearly just teasing her a bit and messing around some. Well....they had been messing around, especially since he had a honestly fairly small sheet just tied over his shoulder. It definitely wasn't much. But he supposed that was rather the point.

Mari groaned softly, a bit of a pout crossing her face. "Well, the kids aren't always here, are then?" She asked with a bit of a laugh. She looked up at him with a big grin across her face, clearly just happy to have a bit of time with him. She didn't care what happened, she always just... enjoyed being with him. He really was her everything, and she didn't even think he really knew that. He never would. She pursed her lips in thought, then rolled her eyes. "You can be mine and against the counter," she retorted with a bit of a laugh. She sort of ran her fingers along his make shift tunic and chuckled, clearly amused by the whole thing.

Sage sort of hummed lightly and shrugged. "I suppose not," he thought out loud. "Then again this isn't exactly a very good outfit to work in the barn in," he added with a chuckle, trying to imagine that. He couldn't help but chuckle in response to her next comment either, a dumb grin lingering on his face as he watched her, clearly just enjoying joking around. "I would think you want me against the counter," he teased her lightly, more just joking around than anything but not entirely unopen to starting something.

Mari looked up at him with a small breath of air, though a smile spread across her face as he mentioned the barn. "I dunno. I reckon it's the perfect outfit. Light and breathable," she laughed to him lightly after a moment or two. She reached forwards and gently tugged him in a bit more at his comment, clearly amused. "And what if I did want you against the counter?" She asked with a raised brow, sort of letting him go and leaning back on her hands slightly,

Sage chuckled softly and nodded. "Sure, until the fabric scares one of the horses or I get hay in the wrong spot," he noted with a chuckle. Though, at her next comment he sort of hummed as if in thought. "Well, I suppose I'd go along with it if it meant I would get some love," he noted lightly. "I've been neglected you know," he whined, obviously that not being the case but even so he could tease.

Mari chuckled at the imagination of him wearing the blanket out to the yard... it was pretty amusing. A wild Sage running around with hay and straw everywhere? Yeah, that shit was funny. Though, when he made his next comments, she laughed almost comically. "You? Neglected?" She asked with a chuckle, though rolled her eyes and gently tugged him in with a gentle smile. "Well, we're gonna have to fix that, hm?" She mused lightly to him.
