Sage snorted softly and wrinkled his nose in response to her comment in a sort of playfully offended look. "Well I get us in bed somehow," he noted with a chuckle. "And you never know, I might once the kids are asleep," he mused lightly, most just messinga round, though it might be fun to mess with her a little bit later. When she agreed to dying the doctors hair he snickered and nodded. "No promises, but it'll be well worth it," he chirped lightly, really just amused at the whole conversation.

Mari pouted at him, a small laugh escaping her. "Yeah, when you're exhausted and I force you into bed," she mused lightly to him, patting his chest gently before rolling off him and wandering to go and get changed. "Well, we'll later won't we. You know, later when you're so tired to have to stumble up the stairs to get to bed," she laughed lightly, clearly amused by it all. She wandered downstairs after a little bit, where the kids were already playing happily to get some breakfast on.

Sage had rolled his eyes after a little while, chuckling softly. "I suppose we'll see about that," he hummed lightly. He lay around for a while linger, before moving to get ready and eventually wander out to the barns to take care of things down there. It was that time of the year where nothign exciting was really happening in terms of foals and such....it was just a lot of training and hoping he could get the horses to turn out well enough he could get a decent price for them, or a nice new aspect to the breeding program, that sort of thing. Nothing much, just a lot of repetitive work. He still enojoyed it, of course, but still. He did wander back in for lunch after a bit though, once he started getting hungry.

Mari waved him off when he left the house, and happily did some work around the house for a little while. When he came back in for lunch, though, she flashed him a grin and slipped a plate infront of him. "I'm gonna run off to the tavern for a few hours," she told him lightly. "The kids are gonna be here, but they should be pretty quiet... keep an ear out yeah? I'll be back way before dinner," she mused lightly to him, a smile spread across her face.

Sage had settled down at the table, humming a quiet thanks to Mari when she handed him the plate. He'd grabbed a glass to fill up with water, sipping at it and then nodding when she said she was heading to the tavern. "Alright. I'll see you later," he noted, tilting his head back for a kiss before moving to eat as she headed out. He stuck around the house for a bit until the kids came inside and started reading it whatever. Relaxing. No one would get hurt doing that, so he moved back out to finish up with the horses before wandering back in a few hours later.

Mari smiled gently to him after a moment, patting his shoulder as she pecked his lips before grabbing a coat and padding out the house. She went over to the tavern, and spoke the owner who she assumed lived in one half of it. The woman said she could wait on some tables, although it was pretty quiet from lunch until about five that evening. She soon found herself leaving, though, with a happy smile across her face and a handful of cash. She wandered in the house a good hour after Sage, and went straight into the kitchen to get some dinner on. When she spotted him, though, she gave him a big grin as she put a tray in the oven.

Sage had moved back in from the barn once he was done, and since the kids were still settled upstairs doing something quiet, and Mari was working, he just settled down on the couch, sketching out some painting ideas he'd been interested in. It was quite nice, actually.. the chance to sit down and just relax a little while still being creative. It wasn't necessary work, but was still productive enough for him to feel like he was doing something. When Mari came in, he glanced over at her with a small hum. "How was it," he asked lightly, figuring it had been nice based off her expression, but still wanting to ask.

Mari smiled over at him, she went to put some cash in the kids piggy banks, then handed the wad to Sage once she'd wandered over to him. "It was good," she chirped lightly, pecking his cheek as she looked over some of his art. "I like this," she hummed in a friendly manner before shrugging again. "It was quiet... and I like how these hours work. It means when the kids are at school we don't have to worry about them," she mused happily.

Sage chuckled softly when she handed him the wad of cash, glancing at it before setting it down on the side table with a light hum in response to her comments. "Good," he noted lightly. "I'm glad you found something nice to do," he added. He did mean it...he might get nervous here and there if she was later coming home or something like that...but he'd get nervous about that anyway, tavern or not. But he was glad she enjoyed it. He chuckled softly when she peered over at the drawing, sort of shrugging. "I'm still thinking through some things," he noted, a grin crossing his face at her peck.

Mari smiled down at him after a moment, and wandered over to the couch to flop down just next to him, resting her head on his shoulders to look at the drawing. She didn't think she'd ever get used to how good he was at art. It seemed to come so naturally do him, and she supposed it did. "It's a nice place. We should go over there for dinner at some point... it's really cute," she chirped lightly to him. "And it means we have a bit of pocket money to go out and do things," she chirped lightly. It wasn't a lot of money... but it was enough to get them all a nice treat and a few small luxuries more. Sbe pecked his cheek lightly, a small hum escaping her. "Well, I rather like it," she mused happily.
