Sage moved to wrap an arm around her when she leaned into his side, humming in agreement. "I'd rather her not catch a cold running around like that," he agreed, keeping a careful eye on the girl as she moved about the yard.

She rested her head on his shoulder, letting out a content sigh. "Yeah, it'd be a shame. Plus you were just sick, i'd rather not have anyone get sick so quickly." Elara noted, watching Liz as well.

Sage felt a soft smile form on his face as she spoke, nodding along. "Well...mine was from old tavern smoke but ...you're right," he noted. "Liz is still young ...getting sick now wouldnt be good," he added, absentmindedly running his fingers along her arm.

Elara nodded in agreement, his fingers warming her skin in the chilly cold. "Plus it'd probably be way worse, immune system isn't good yet. And also, I don't know about you but, I don't know what to give kids if they get sick." She noted, slipping her eyes shut for a moment.

Sage hummed softly with a nod, frowning slightly. "That's probably something we should figure out," he admitted. "Getting sick on the street is dangerous ..but there's not much you can do, so I'm afraid I'm not too well versed on all of that," he admitted. If they'd switched places and it had been Elara that was sick, he wouldn't really have known what medicines did what, and reading labels was hard. "You'll have to show me what medicines we have and what they all do," he added. Winter was practically here, and the cold would bring illness.

She nodded, noting it useful. "Well...not much we have anyways. But, I know all of them. I can teach you all of them when we head inside," Elara suggested, looking up at him.

Sage nodded with a soft fr hum of agreement, checking the meat over the fire and then pulling it off and putting it on a plate now that it was done. "That would be good," he agreed. "Most I know is a wet cloth on the head for a fever," he admitted with a chuckle.

|
She smiled, tearing off a piece of the meat before taking a bite, it tasting well. "On the head and back of the neck," Elara corrected, calling Liz over to eat.

|
Sage grunted with a nod. "Right," he noted. "See, I'm not very good at this," he noted with a chuckle, nudging her gently. "What would I do without you," he added with a grin, moving to tear off some meat for Liz and calling her over.

|
"You probably couldn't live without me," She teased, pulling away as she made a plate and started eating.
