Matt raised his eyebrows at Trixies words, a little taken aback. He had mostly definitely never expected her to say that. In fact, he had been so worried about telling her because he didn't want to have to deal with her begging him to stay, but she wasn't. But obviously that didn't mean she wanted him to go, hopefully. "Of course i'm happy here, Trixie. You've made it so much better, I just..I dunno. I have about no family here, i have no idea how i ended up here, it all just..strange." he said, taking a deep breath before he carried on. "The flights meant to be in a couple days, i think, so i'll have to make my mind up soon. Plus, Layla needs to tell my dad what i'm doing" he mumbled, speaking about the girl quietly. "But..I don't wanna go. I wanna stay with you" he finished.

Trixie watched him, listening to him speak quietly. "I understand. I mean, it's your choice. I'll still... I won't spite you either way, so do what you think you need to do and don't worry about how I'll react. Okay?" She asked softly, nodding as he finished. "I know. And I don't want you to leave either, but just... do what you need to." She nodded softly, gently pulling him into a hug and nuzzling her head into his neck.

Matt nodded, slowly wrapping his arms around Trixie. He was aware he had taken everything completely wrong, but a part of him felt like she didn't..care as much as he'd thought? She wasn't as upset? He gave a faint smile and looked up, catching a glimpse of dark red hair coming down the stairs. "Right yeah. Thanks" he said, giving layla a quick smile as she wandered past, his mind racing. The more Trixie gave him the choice to leave, the more she spoke like that, the more he almost wanted to move back. "I'll be back in a second. Stay there" he said, giving Trixie no time to reply, instead getting up and heading after Layla.

Trixie held him tightly, fighting not to cry. She wanted him to stay more than anything, but what kind of a person would she be if she held him back from his family and a good life because she would miss him? She let him pull away reluctantly, blinking as he walked off. "Alright." She said weakly, staring at the hem of her dress and cursing silently. Had she acted like She didn't care enough? With that thought racing through her mind, she started to overthink the situation in... all ways possible.

Matt made his way over to Layla, who was standing in the kitchen. Trixie could see the two talking a little through the archway, so he made sure to do his best to make it quick. He asked what his dad had said, what she thought about him going back, and when the flight was- which was the one piece of information he had gotten wrong. Late night tomorrow was the last thing he wanted to hear. He did his best to leave the conversation there, swirling his drink around, looking up in surprise as the girl laid a hand on his arm almost as if to console him. Matt flashed a weak smile at her and slithered out of her faint but firm grasp, setting his drink back down on the side.

Trixie watched him and Layla quietly, listening in silence. Which, of course, brought her to thinking about how Layla could easily be his future rather than her. She blinked the tears away at the thought, staring at her hand until he came back. She numbly registered the words 'tomorrow night's. She laid her head in her hands, to stifle the smallest of sobs, which is all she allowed out. It was silent, and her body barely shook, but it was there. She only raised her head when he came back, offering him a weak, weak smile. "That's not very long." She said softly.

Matt sat himself down next to Trixie, wrapping his arm around her. He bit his lip at the sight of her crying, kissing the top of her head. "I know. I'm sorry" he whispered, resting his cheek on her head, stroking the hair out of her face. "I don't think i'm gonna go away, Trixie. I'd rather stay with you." he added, unable to say what he felt. He hated making her feel the way he had, it pretty much broke him. - ik we're meant to make them argue, so at some long we could skip to the next morning? they could have an argument about something or the other, Matt says he's "leaving to go and talk to a friend" and she ends up somehow finding out he's gone to the airport or something? checks his location i'm not sure?

Trixie brushed at her cheeks in frustration as tears kept coming down. "No, I'm sorry, I shouldn't be crying." She whimpered, curling her arms around him and settling her head on his chest. "No, don't decide right now. I'm making you feel bad, and I shouldn't, I don't mean to- just- just think about it, alright?" She asked softly, pressing her lips to his cheek and settling down again. ((Yeah, that sounds good. What should they argue about? Her wanting him to go back for his family because she doesn't want to be the only thing keeping him there?))

Sounds good! - Matt shook his head, his expression solemn. "It's not your fault, I already feel bad Trixie" He said quietly, keeping his arms wrapped firmly around her. He looked up for a split second as Layla walked past, grateful she decided not to say a word as she dissapeared up the stairs. "I want to stay. With you. I could always just go back and visit family when I want to? Plus you could always come with me" He said with a faint smile, lifting her chin up slightly as he spoke. He gently wiped away her tears with his thumb, planting a kiss on her forehead. "It's getting late, we should sleep soon. Do you want me to drop you back to yours or do you wanna stay here?" he asked, offering what he tried to make seem like a confident smile.

"But I don't want you to, please don't." She pleaded softly" frowning softly as he spoke. "And I want you to stay, too. But that's selfish. I mean, you have an entire, amazing life that's just being handed to you. How can I let you turn that down?" She asked softly, letting him lift her head with a little sigh. "I want to stay here." She said, not a moments hesitation. If he was going to leave tomorrow, she wanted to spend as long as possible with him. She gently pressed her lips to his after he finished speaking, cupping his cheek with her hand.
