A part blew in our truck that killed the steering, breaks, and battery and shot our temperatures up - it happened in the Mojave Desert and we were lucky enough that it happened there because we were between two mountain passes, and if it happened there we would have gone over the edge for sure. It took 8 1/2 hours to get back on the road and we were hauling the horses and living quarters so it wasn't ideal but everyone survived which is better than what could have happened ':)
