Sage snickered when she protested, shaking his head. "You definitely complained," he mused, chuckling again at her next comments and then nodding when she mentioned getting ready for bed. He took the hands she offered him and hauled himself to his feet, wandering upstairs to get ready. He didn't really need to shower since he'd showered when he came back from the barn, but a mischievous idea entered his mind so while he was getting ready he decided to slip in with Mari, wrapping his arms around her waist lightly, sort of half wanting to startle her and half just because they'd been joking she hadn't seen him in a while.

Mari slipped into the shower, running her fingers through her hair before she heard the door behind her, then felt the the warm steam leaving the shower. And, of course, she jumped when she felt arms around her, although instinctively leaned back into him, a bit of a chuckle escaping her. "What are you doing?" She asked with an amused chuckle, tilting her head back to look up at him, a small smile spread across her face as her hands eventually found his forearm, and gently squeezed him with a bit of a hum.

Sage chuckled when she jumped, sort of just grinning over at her in response to her question. "Bugging you," he noted lightly. It was only half true really, but he'd just thought it would be funny to slide on with her when she wasn't really expecting it. "What, are you gonna complain now that I'm on here with you," he teased lightly, knowing she wasn't complaining, she was just curious. But he could tease.

Mari groaned when he started teasing her, and sort of turned around to wrap her hands around his neck and gently pulled him in to press a light kiss to his lips. "You always bug me," she replied with a bit of a chuckle as one of her hands slid down his chest, the other lightly holding the back of his neck. "Complain now? No, not now," she giggled, taking a slight step back to look him up and down with a stupid, childish giggle. "Not when you look like that and the water is warm," she teased him, stepping under the warm water again.

Sage kissed the girl back and sort of just stood there, grinning stupidly when she mentioned he always bugged her. "That's part of the job description," he chirped lightly, releasing her so she could finish her shower. "Ah, yes, the warm water is what really matters here," he teased lightly, a light blush crossing his face when he noticed her look him up and down. It was stupid really, but they were both just messing around a little bit.

Mari laughed softly to him, and gently poked his side. "You job description is to be a warm loving partner, help out with the kids and look pretty," she teased him, obviously just messing around. "Bugging your wife is not a part of it," she then looked up at him with a silly grin. "Although, you do at least look pretty," she teased him. "Well, there was a time when we didn't have warm water, so yes, it is important!" She finished washing herself off, then took a small step towards him and wrapped her arms back around his neck, leaning up so that she was on her tip toes, her face stuck close to his. "And you're blushing," she giggled playfully after a moment or two, a grin spread across her cheeks.

Sage just felt his grin widen as she described his job. "Oh it's in the part about loving," he mused lightly. "Maybe you should have read the small print," he added with a snicker. There was clearly no small print or even big print....it wasn't like there were rules written out like that. But the idea was there. He grunted in agreement when she mentioned the warm water though...he could agree there. Warm water was quite nice to have now. Though, he wrapped his arms around her when she moved back towards him, chuckling softly. "That's because you're adorable," he mused, really just enjoying their time they had messing around.

Mari smiled up at him, her head cocked and a bit of a pout on her lips. "Sage I think you're pulling my leg. I read all of the details... no where did it say you get to bug me!" She teased softly after a moment. She then patted his chest gently. It was all in play, really... if there were forms, they probably would have been remarkably different to 'as husband you shall bug wife'. The thought amused her though. "If there was small print - or any kind of print, you and I both know I'm the only one that would have read it," she laughed softly to him. When he wrapped his arms around her, she giggled happily and gently pressed her chest against hers. She cocked her head, leaning in as though she was about to kiss him although pulled a way with a bit of a gasp at his comment about her being adorable. "Adorable?" She asked with a bit of a laugh. "I am not adorable! You're adorable," she giggled happily.

Sage chuckled softly when she mention she would have been the one to read the small print and shrugged. "That's because you can actually read," he mused lightly. "But I'm definitely sure messing with you is part of it," he noted, giving her a put when she acted like she'd kiss him and then pulled away again. "I'm ruggedly handsome," he huffed. "We agreed on that. You're adorable," he added. It didn't matter what she called him really... But he could mess around

Mari huffed out a soft breath at his comment, and rolled her eyes playfully. "I can still teach you to read, if you'd like," she mused. "You know, since I'm helping the kids out anyway," she giggled teasingly. She then shook her head when he said bugging her was a part of it. "No, definitely not," she gave him a grin, and gently poked his sides. "But it said I could, and I at least do it efficiently," she chuckled. When he pouted at her, she pressed a light kiss to his chin and shrugged. "You are very ruggedly handsome, I suppose..." she mused gently after a moment or two. "But I don't like the whole adorable thing," she mused.
