Sage stayed still while Mari did, and then sort of attempted to ignore her when she started moving around. It wasn't very effective though, and her nails sort of tickled his hand so he opened his eyes to sort of peer over at her with a chuckle. "Am I really that boring," he teased lightly, knowing she just grew restless laying around for too long. Even so, it was fun to tease her a little bit.

Mari huffed out a breath at his comment, and just moved to wrap her fingers around his and pressed a light kiss to his knuckles. She hummed as though in thought before nodded slowly. "Yeah, you're real boring," she mused lightly. She pouted, looking over at him. "Considering you're a street rat an all," she teased softly. "You should be buzzing to do something."

Sage chuckled softly in response to her comments, sort of just letting her drag his knuckles around a little bit. "Once you go three days straight without sleeping on a regular basis you learn to appreciate the rest," he sort of snorted, just finding the whole conversation rather amusing. "I'm buzzing about getting a decent's night sleep, without you wrigglign around all night long," he added with a tease. She hand't kept him up, and she knew it...but he could still make fun.

Mari rolled her eyes at him before dropping his hand as if upset with him. Though of course wasn't. "And I thought you loved me," she huffed dramatically, rolling away onto her stomach, looking over at him with a playful grin. "I've stayed up with you when you haven't been able to sleep," she mused lightly. "If im wriggling around so much you can go sleep on the couch," she teased, poking his side softly. It was all playful, though... really just teasing him. She knew he struggled to get sleep sometimes, and she didn't want to be the one making that happen.

Sage chuckled softly in response to her comment, giving her a grin. "Oh, no, not the couch," he groaned dramatically, clearly just messing around. "Whatever shall I do," he added, flopping his arm over his face dramatically. (Short I'm sick lol)

Mari gave a soft chuckle before shaking her head lightly. "Oh? I thought you liked the couch," she teased playfully to him, leaning over to peck his cheek. She watched his dramatic movement, a silly sort of giggle escaping her. "You, sir, would be the best actor ever," she laughed, gently bumping hi side with her shoulder. "I might just sign you up to the kids school panto. You'd make quite the fetching princess, don't you think?" She asked happily.

Sage couldn't help but let out an amused laugh when she teased him about the couch. "I like it as long as your on it with me," he noted with a grin. Though at her comment about signing him up for the school's play or whatever, he wrinkled his nose slightly. "An ugly behemoth princess from a war based clan from somewhere maybe," he mused lightly, rather abused by the conversation.

Mari rolled her eyes at him, a bit of a laugh escaping her. "I thought you were just complaining about me wriggling around while you're trying to sleep!" She accused him with a small chuckle. The whole this was just amusing... a stupid conversation. It was like that quite a lot now, just trying to humor one another. It was nice, and she sort of liked it. She looked at him, a pout across her face as she reached out to play with his hair. "Well, you certainly have the hair for it. I think you'd look lovely in a tiara," she grinned at him, her eyes light and suddenly rather full of energy.

Sage snickered softly, humming with a sort of shrug. "Well I suppose not all of your wriggling is bad," he relented, still clearly just messing around. She didn't actually bother him at all, through the night. He humemd softly when she mentioned having the hair for it, giving her a grin. "I think I'd rather get grey and be a wizard," he noted with a soft laugh, going back to their conversation from earlier that week. "Though I'm sure Liz would love to dress me up as a princess," he added lightly.

Mari huffed out a breath and wriggled around a little to wrap an arm around him. She looked... well, she just looked happy. Relaxed. "You though, you awake me up frequently," she complained, a pout across her face. It was all playful, though, and he'd know that. She didn't mind being woken up if it kept him happy. She rolled her eyes at his next comment, though. "No. You're the princess and the doctor is the wizard," she mused lightly to him. "Liz will be... the library woman," she mused lightly. Although, it would probably be something she rather enjoyed. "This is a family affair, Sage! I'll be the knight and Silas can be the dragon," she mused.
