Sage was happy to wander along next to the kids on the way home, occassionaly glancing over his shoulder at Mari. He wasn't entirely sure why....part of it was making sure she was still there, which was sort of stupid. Part of it was he wanted to make sure she didn't feel left out or anything. And part of it was she was just so happy and pretty and he loved her so much. Eventually, they got home though. "Alright, its past bedtime," he chirped, moving to get the kids ready for bed and then coming back to flop down next to mari, and then shift so he could rest his head lightly in her lap with a content sigh

Mari watched the family scuttle around for a bit, and eventually got up to make the kids a hotchocolate to keep them happy. They were still full of beans... it was clear they'd just enjoyed themselves, and Mari couldn't be happier about any of it. Still, soon enough they'd settled down, and she wandered off to relax on the couch. She grinned when Sage came over, a small hum escaping her when he flopped down on her lap. She ran her fingers through his hair sofrly, then cupped his cheek and pressed a light kiss to his lips. "Thank you," she murmured lightly to him, a smile still spread across her face. "I think we all enjoyed ourselves tonight."

Sage grinned up at Mari when she glanced down at him, a faint smile just lingering on his lips. He hummed happily when she kissed him, kissing her back before taking the hand that was on his face and just moving to hold it, letting out a content sigh and nod in response to her comment. "It was nice to go do something all together," he noted lightly, alibet a bit tiredly. It was getting late...and keeping up with the kids took a lot of energy. But it was all good. He loved every minute of it.

Mari gently wrapped her fingers around his when he went to hold her hand, giving him a soft squeeze. It wasn't super late yet, but she could still hear the tiredness in his voice that just made her chuckle. "We've got some planning to do for next week," she mused. It just gave them all something to look forwards to... it made sense, she supposed. Sage was always pretty busy, and with the kids in school properly now it made sense to get everyone out the house when they could, even just for the evening. She kissed his knuckles, though, and gave him a soft smile. "Why don't you head off to bed," she started, gently running her fingers through hos hair again. "You looke tired," she mused.

Sage chuckled softly and nodded in response to her comment. "We'll have to look around the town...find some different places to try out and all that," he agreed softly, eager to figure it all out. He offered her a small smile when she suggested he get ready for bed, and squeezed her hand lightly before getting to his feet with a grunt. "That sounds like a good idea," he admitted with a soft laugh, sort of wandering upstairs. Mari would follow soon, he knew, so he just got ready for bed quickly, curling up under the blankets and drifting off admittedly pretty quickly. It had been a good day...but he was glad to finally get some rest.

Mari watched him wander off, letting herself relax for a long minute or two before finally heading upstairs. She got ready quickly for bed, and it wasn't long until she'd flopped down on the bed and sprawled out to get comfortable. She soon drifted off, for once without issue. She didn't wake up in the night, either which was a nice change to the last few weeks. She was still asleep well into the morning... well, until about midday really. She was comfortable and warm, and no one had tried waking her up yet so there was no problems.

Sage was already out cold by the time Mari had flopped down in the bed, but he'd shifted in closer to her, sensing her heat and comfort there and being drawn to it. He stirred slightly when she started moving the next morning, having sort of drifting in and out of a light sleep for around half an hour or so. He was really still mostly asleep, but he did tighten his hold on her slightly before settling down comfortably again. He hadn't checked the time....he didn't really care that much. Neither of them really seemed to want to do much.

Mari stirred later in the morning, when she felt Sages arms wrap around her a little tighter. She groaned and rolled over, burying her nose into him with a small hum. "Morninggg," she groaned, her voice soft and still very groggy. She was still half asleep, but it warm and comfy and she was really quite happy to have a decent nights sleep for the first time in a good few weeks. She opened her eyes before moving to press a light kiss to his lips before settling down again.

Sage let out a sort of airy hum when he heard Mari's greeting, not really awake enough to form words but answering her all the same. He sort of nestled his nose into her hair, letting out a soft huff of contentment as he settled down again, just enjoying the warmth of the sun and Mari. The contentment they had resting here. He wasn't sure he'd ever fully get used to it...not always having to be ready for anything. BUt it was certainly nice.

Mari smiled at the little hum, though eventually closed her eyes again to settle back down. She found herself gently patting his back though as she grew restless, and sort of rolled onto her back, taking one of his hand and lightly trailing her nail along the lines of his palm. She still necer understoon how he could sleep in so long and still be tired... this wasn't usual for her at all, and she was already waiting for something to do.
