Sage had turned his head to look over at elara when she lay down next to him, meeting her gaze. When she spoke up though, he chuckled softly with a shrug. "Well ...you kind of are," he noted, face softening slightly as he spoke. He felt his face flush slightly as he spoke, but it was true, so he didn't look away. He felt almost drawn to her gaze in a way...and sudden the overwhelming urge to kiss her crashed over his brain. He held back, not wanting to make things awkward but....it was there.

Elara's gaze flicked down to his lips while he was talking, pulling it back up to his eyes. She smiled softly at his words, pressing a quick kiss to his lips before pulling away, gaze flicking over to Liz getting frustrated when Varys didn't understand. The woman chuckled, looking back down at Sage. "Really i'm not but, if you say so." She mused with a grin.

Sage hadn't expected her to kiss him, so he let out a shocked, and rather undignified, squeak when she first leaned in, cheeks turning a bright red. He certainly wasn't upset about it, of course, but apparently he hadn't hidden his feelings very well. At least he knew she was ok with it now. He sort of just gaped up at her when she spoke, only half hearing what she was saying. "You kissed me," he noted, almost as if making sure that had been real.

Elara chuckled at his reaction, propping herself up on and elbow as her gaze met his once more. "Sure did, figured it was about time. Y'know, you don't hide feelings all too well." The woman mused, kissing him again.

Sage chuckled softly at her comments, a grin slowly forming on his face as his brain caught up to speed. "I'm that bad at it, huh," he mused, kissing her back this time and brushing a bit of hair behind her ear, fingers lingering there. Though, after a moment his grin turned a bit more teasing. "Does this mean we can share the bed now and get me off that chair," he asked. He was half joking, but of course the chair wasn't the most comfortable place to sleep. So if she agreed he was going to take the chance.

"Well you kept blushing and looking away when we made eye contact for too long, and you kept basically praising me 24/7 so, wouldn't say you're the best at hiding." She mused, pecking his lips before pulling away, chuckling at his comment. "Sure, if you want." Edited at January 16, 2026 12:27 AM by RFS Thoroughbreds

Sage couldn't help but laugh softly at her comment, giving her a sheepish grin. "Alright, so maybe Ive never done this whole falling in love thing before," he admitted, casting a quick glance at Liz to check on her before turning his gaze back to Elara. "Well you deserve it," he huffed softly when she mentioned praising her, but nodded when she agreed to sharing the bed. "I won't pass that offer up," he noted with a chuckle.

"You just have to get used to Liz moving around a whole lot, once you do it's fine." She mused with a soft laugh, the sound floating up into the array of birds chirping and the occasional rush of wind.

Sage just chuckled softly at her comment and shook his head. "Before I managed to get her into the boarding school, she went with me. Slept on my chest, for the most part," he mused. "I think I'll manage," he added with a grin.

"Good, but if you start snoring I may as well cover your face with a pillow." Elara mused with a chuckle, flicking her gaze back over to Sage. She twirled a lock of hair between her fingers, Varys darting past them.
