Sage snorted and shrugged. "I'm not arguing with you that it probably wasn't the best idea but I thought about that after I realized they had a gun." He grinned. "I'm not the calmest person in the world, nor am I necessarily the wisest," he admitted with a chuckle. Then he shrugged. "But I haven't died yet so hey, it's working out for me. Ish." Sage grinned over at Anya when she told Luther where they'd met. "yeah, apparently she decided the snappy tavern worker was someone she could make friends with," he told Luther, a laugh in his voice. He didn't quite know why she had decided he was a good person to be with...they weren't exactly the most friendly to eachother right away. But he was glad she had given him that chance. She'd saved his life more than once, he couldn't deny that...he was hot headed and probably a bit insane, and his mental health had been thrown out the window a long time ago. But hey, he did love the girl, and even if he didn't understand everything she did or said, he was appreciative all the same.

Luther gave a slight smile at their playful little spat before giving a plain chuckle. "She likes a challenge, don't you, Anya?" He looked thoughtful for a moment. "She's always had to make things difficult. When she found out we were going to end up together, god the fit she threw. I've never heard someone scream so loud. It took us months to get her to come around to the idea." He noted, a reminiscing look still lingering on his face. That was purely to tease Anya a little, while he had someone to almost bully her with him, but he also felt like he had to make his position with the girl clear. He did like Sage as much as you could for someone you just met, but he could also see something going on between them. He wasn't sure what, exactly, but he just wanted to put that defence up now, while they were still in a jokey manner. Anya let out a weary huff. "My bad. I just didn't want to be married to the obnoxious Christmas ruiner that you are." She chucked, rolling her eyes to prove her joke. At the start, she really, really didn't like Luther... but the older they got, the more they had come to terms with each other as a whole. They would be in this together, so they had to get along. She gave Sage a light smile. "I'm not sure why you didn't kick me out. I must have been so annoying. And my unfortunate lack of cleaning ability must have been awful to watch." She noted lightly. Luther winced slightly, "Oh, did you have to watch her clean? You poor thing." He laughed slightly, knowing how little the extent of her cleaning ability was.

Sage chuckled and gave her a look. "It could use some polishing." He used the word polishing since they were talking about cleaning ...it was so incredibly cheesy but he couldn't help but drop the pun...the opportunity was too good to pass up. "She tried to help....and she kinda did...I got a laugh out of it. It was amusing enough I forgot I hadn't had a chance to sleep for three days," he said, teasing the girl.

Luther laughed at that. It wasn't exactly funny, kind of a dad joke, but it was at least laughable. "I've only ever seen her clean once. It was awful. She quite literally gave me nightmares for a week." He chuckled inwardly. Anya gave a soft groan, covering her eyes slightly. "I know, I know, I've been told about my lack of skill in that area, but I make up for it else where." She grumbled before turning and starting up the stairs. It had started to snow again... it was a good thing, for Anya at least. She hadn't ever really considered it Christmas until it was snowing. "Why don't we go inside? Everyone will be up soon. We can get something to drink and go find out where they all are... probably the parlor." She shrugged, beckoning the two to come with her. She was glad they were getting along. She wasn't too sure how well it'd turn out between them, but they weren't ripping each other's heads off just yet, which was a good thing. She hoped it would stay like that... it'd be good for Sage to have someone else, another guy to to talk to. Maybe they could even be friends.

Sage grinned and started to follow Anya up the stairs, then turned back to Luther and winked. "We'll sneak up on her later," he giggled, so that Anya couldn't hear him. It was too good of an opportunity to miss....pranking people was great, and pranking Anya was even better, mostly because he loved her so much. Luther could use some fun anyway...he would enjoy having a guy his age to do stuff with. There wasn't even anyone his age in the slums...survival had seemed to favor him somehow. But he had a chance now, and while he probably wouldn't see Luther often, it would be good to get to know him. He seemed like a decent guy so far.

Luther gave a grin in return. "She's going to be so mad." He giggled like a young child. He had never really gotten to mess around before... he had grown up in a similar setting to Anya, only his parents were a fair bit stricter... a lot more firm than Anya's had been. That was probably why he was so keen to fulfil his duties on the throne. Though, it's be nice to muck around and cause some trouble with someone his own age for once. Anya had tried to drag him into some pranks when she was little, but he never gave into her... mainly because he had saw himself as a fair bit better than she was when he was little. The few months they had spent together though, had proved how similar they really were. He watched the girl as she happily wandered up the stairs, looking rather pleased with herself. Anya was pleased... but not with herself. With the fact that things were going well... granted, it was still early in the morning, but she hoped everyone else would take as lightly to Sage as Luther had... though, that didn't seem overly likely. Maybe they could be at least civil.

Sage snickered. "She probably won't get mad enough to kill us, right," he chuckled. "Her reaction will make it more fun," he cackled before running over to Anya before she realized he wasn't following her. He tried to hide his grin, though it was a bit difficult. But he could pull it off as he was just glad to meet Luther or have some fun joking around. And he was getting excited...he wanted to find out what the rest of the day would hold. Anya's excitement and spunky attitude was contagious, and he found himself filled with energy as he practically bounced along next to her, with Luther in her other side. She was lucky...she had her two best friends, though he was a bit more than a friend, right next to her, and neither of them were thinking of leaving her. At least, sage himself wasn't, he couldn't say what Luther was thinking. But the guy did like Anya, and they got along well. He'd be good for her, sage could admit that, even if he was pretty jealous of the guy.

Luther shook his head slightly, an exited look sat on his face. In all honesty, Anya was quite likely to kill them for sneaking up on her. That, or she'd have to get them back somehow, which would be difficult considering she had never actually manager to sneak up on Sage. She could only surprise him with the whole sneaking up thing if she hugged him from behind or something, and she couldn't do that with Luther around, not if he'd take it the wrong way... well, he couldn't take it the wrong way, not if what he suspected was actually going on. But that wouldn't happen. Anya wandered around for a little while, a hop in her step before the sound of small feet and giggling echoed through the halls. Her little cousins, no doubt. Anya's face went pale and stopped in her tracks before quickly slipping behind Luther Her hands loosely holding his hips in place so he couldn't move away. "Hide me," she whispered in a nervy tone. Luther took a moment before letting out a laugh. "Don't tell me you're spatting with them still. Anya, they're children." The girl wrinkled her nose. "They're horrible!" She complained, just holding onto him tighter, though her voice was fairly jokey.

Sage chuckled at her antics and shook his head, amused. "You survived something crazy and you're afraid of a few children," he teased her. "They can't be that bad...they can't do much. They might be annoying, so just ..walk away. Or scare them away." He shrugged. "Both works." He grinned over at Anya, putting on a thoughtful face. "You do have a pretty good sized bodyguard, though, you're kinda small," he teased her, knowing that he was really the same size as her width wise, though he was taller. Luther, however, was large enough he could probably hide them both. He chuckled at the thought...mostly because he'd never hide like that, he'd be fighting. Probably rushing into something like an idiot and getting himself hurt, and then complaining about it. He did wonder exactly how bad her cousins were though, he wasn't the best with young kids...then again he wasn't the best with people in general...his social skills were crap.

Anya glared at Sage for a moment. "There's no running from them, Sage. There's no escape," she complained dramatically, turning around and leaning her back against Luthers, her hand on her forehead. The man was really built like a brick wall... she pretty much had her whole weight on him and he was just standing there with a goofy grin. Anya cocked her head at Sage for a moment, keeping her voice low. "Have you seen me, Sage? I don't think I could scare anyone off if I tried." She groaned quietly. It was a rather annoying trait of hers. She had the full ability to be horrible, but that meant absolutely nothing if she had a perfectly innocent face. Luther hummed for a moment as he thought. "They're not that bad you know." He noted with a soft chuckle. Anya hit his back in response. "They like you, that's why you're saying that." She complained. She knew they'd be alright if she had other people with her, but she wasn't going to take that chance. There was no way in hell she was going to be bullied by a bunch of little kids in front of either Sage or Luther. That'd just cause her to get laughed at even more. She could deal with being made fun of because of hiding from them, though. She glanced back to Sage. "If you want to be dumb and run into something blindly, feel free to attack them." Now, Anya liked kids. She even wanted one at some point, but these children, these were just horrible... and normally only to her. Most likely because they were related, though.
