Mari shook her head, letting out a soft breath. "Probably not," she mused gently. "But they both know it's okay to be worried about things," she added, resting her head back on the pillow. "He knows we're gonna be here too, even if we're scared," she hummed, offering a light smile. The kid was pretty on his toes anyway... the same way both of his parents were, so it did make sense that he could sometimes be a bit flighty. She ran her nails through his hair as she pulled it out its signature but, and brushed it back softly. "And I hope you know it's okay too. And that I'm gonna be there for you if you need anything," she smiled. She then gave a soft chuckle. "This is better than the first time I saw you in a storm. You nearly tried to kill me," she laughed. She pinched her brows together after a moment and sighed. "I've been asleep," she chuckled. "I have too much energy," she added in amusement.

Sage hummed softly and nodded with a sort of sigh. "Still, if I weren't so jumpy about it he would have probably outgrown it easier," he noted quietly, really just too tired to do much. He moved to set the hair tie mari tugged out on the side table, not minding having his hair down for a bit, especially if she was running her fingers through it like this. It always did feel nice. "I know," he hummed, laughing when she brought up that first storm. "I wan't aiming at you, it was a reflex," he protested with a huff of air, though didn't mind the bit of banter. At her next comment though, he groaned and flopped his head back onto the pillow, shaking his head. " don't suppose you could pass some off to me," he asked, clearly exhausted. He did wish he could just pass out, but his body was used to no sleep, or at least not enough of it...so that wasn't gonna happen.

Mari shook her heat at him. "He's sleep now babe. He's s kid, he's allowed to be scared," she mused. "Once he feels safe he goes back to bed and sleeps," she added, pecking his nose softly. "Which is exactly what you need to do." She cocked her head at him, raising s brow when he claimed he wasn't aiming for her. "Yeah, sure. You were being pretty brutal with me, I wouldn't have been surprised if you had tried," she added with a soft laugh. She watched him move, though when he flopped down she saw that he really was just exhausted. She sighed and gently pecked the top of his head. "I can try, but I doubt you'd know how to control the kind of energy I have," she mused. She sighed and watched him for a moment, her brows furrowing softly. "Try and get back to sleep. You know I'm right here fi you need anything."

Sage hummed softly in response to her comment, nodding along. "I know," he mused, groaning when she told him he should sleep. "I've been trying all night," he sort of huffed, though not with any malice in his voice. "I doubt much'll help...unless we still have some of those sleeping pills somewhere in the bathroom," he noted. He wasn't sure they still had any...he hadn't needed them in a while. But now he sort of wished they had some. He wasn't too hopeful, and he really didn't have the energy to go root around and look when he wasn't even sure they had any.

Mari raised a brow at him, rolling her eyes softly. "Well once you sort the horses in the morning come back and sleep if the thunder has quietened down," she hummed. He'd do just that anyway. She looked very thoughtful for a moment, then let out a soft breath. "For Christmas," she started with a small laugh. "I'm gonna get you a pair of ear muffs," she chuckled softly. She gave a playful grin after a moment, though. "I would say you could just put your head in my chest but unfortunately my boobs aren't enough to block sound out," she teased playfully. When he mentioned the pills, she gave s soft nod, a grin splitting her face as she went into the side table. She pulled out a mostly full packet and shook them at him. "You're lucky you have the best wife ever," she mused as she handed thin the pill packet.

Sage hummed softly and nodded in response to her comments. "It'll be quick if it's raining anyway," he hummed, chuckling softly when she mentioned Christmas. "I would be ok with that," he mused lightly. Then he gave her a more mischievous grin. "Well, they're certainly comfortable enough," he noted lightly before his eyes widened as she pulled the pills out of nowhere. "When the hell did you get those," he asked, clearly surprised they were there as he reached over to grab one and take it dry, not even bothering to get any water. He passed out pretty quickly after that, gladly taking the drugged state of sleep.

Mari nodded to him, a light chuckle escaping her. Hopefully, it would have all died down a little by then. Though, the clouds still looked pretty black. She rolled we eyes at his comment about her being comfortable and patted his head softly. As long as he was comfortable, she didn't care. She felt an amused chuckle escape her after a moment and shrugged. "I keep everything unless it's out of date," she shrugged. "They were just left over," she added. She settled back down next to him when he passed out, and she couldn't help but relax next to him, eventually drifting off to sleep.

Sage sort of hummed and shook his head as he settled down, eyelids already drooping. "I could've sworn we were out," he sort of mumbled, clearly slipping off into unconscious quickly. He was out cold by the time Mari had gotten back under the covers, and didn't wake until later the next morning, when he finally stirred from his drugged slumber. He did feel much better ...he'd evidently been out for a while, since it was bright and sunny outside again. He sort of blinked groggily, peering around before letting his head flip back down with a sigh. The meds had mostly worn off, but he was definitely still groggy from the lingering affects, and didn't want to get up yet.

She sighed and shook her head at him. She had quite the stash of things in that cabinate. They'd all been injured and needed medication, and they'd all stopped using it way to early. Same story different day she supposed. Though, in this case they just seemed to have a never ending supply of them. Sage used to need them quite a lot, but there was always a few packets laying around. She only really had the packets so that she remembered to give Sage his meds. She sighed and moved to press a light kiss to his head before settling down and drifting to sleep. She woke up quite late the next morning. The sun was up. Sage was still asleep, so she went to go make them some tea and brought a snack upstairs for Sage. She placed them down on the side and gave a small smile. "Morning gorgeous," she mused softly to him, perching on the side the bed. He definitely looked a little bit better.

Sage stirred slightly when he heard Mari come back into the bedroom, blinking his eyes open and giving her a soft grin. "Hey," he hummed softly, sort of shifting around so he could face her better. "I can't believe you're already up and busy," he noted with a small chuckle. She was up almost as much as he was, he figured. Sure, she'd gotten a few more hours than him, until Silas had come in, but still. She was up some too. But it was certainly nice of her to bring up the tea and such.
