Sage chuckled and nodded in response to her comment, glancing over at her with a grin. "That does seem to help," he agreed. "Unfortunately, I was cursed with the lightest sleep on the face of this planet," he noted with slight amusement, calling a cautionary 'watch for tree roots, love," to Liz as she ran past, barely batting an eye. "Not sure how she gets all that energy," he sighed, though he clearly still adored the little girl.

Elara nodded with a slight grin, watching as the girl barreled past. "Well, it's probably from your past. Having to stay in random places and hoping nobody caught you, I would expect light sleep from that." She explained softly, catching his gaze and holding it steadily as the quiet settled around them---tension in the air before she flicked her gaze back out, sighing softly. "Better enjoy it while it lasts, she'll eventually enter the moody teenager phase and you'll miss this." The woman noted, meeting his gaze again.

Sage listened to elaras reasoning, nodding along with a sigh. "I'm sure it's learned from that," he agreed. It was probably more than just that, but he supposed that was most of it if he was being honest. He met her gaze though, and offered her a small smile, before she'd looked away. He let his own gaze linger on her for a few moments more, before her comments pulled it towards Liz again. "Oh, I can be plenty of a moody teenager myself," he noted with amusement. 'she won't stand a chance," he added with a chuckle.

Elara laughed, shaking her head lightly. "Now that I can imagine, Liz snapping at you and you just match her energy completely. Imagine her reaction, that'll be hilarious!" She mused, glancing back at Liz before back at him.

Sage chuckled softly as she spoke up, poking at the fire with a long stick. "Oh, she'd get mad," he mused. "But I have a feeling it would work," he added with a grin. "She can't stay mad for too long anyway,* he added with another sort of snicker. "She can't now either."

Elara chuckled at the thought of Liz getting angered for her father simply matching her energy, finding it very amusing to imagine. "That's for sure," She added

Sage set the stick he was using to poke at the fire down, sort of laying down on his back with a content sigh, nodding along with a grin in response to elaras comment. "It seems like she was just born still," he mused after a moment or so. "She's grown up so fast," he added.

"She's definitely grown, and even though i've only been around her for about a year now...she's still changed a whole bunch." Elara added, flicking her gaze to the girl--watching as she caught a worm and tried to feed it to Varys, the wolf taking it before spitting it out. She chuckled, twirling a lock of her hair in her fingers.

Sage nodded along to her comments with a soft hum, turning his head to glance over at the girl where she was playing with a soft laugh. "She has," he agreed. "Part of that is thanks to you," he added, nudging Elara gently. "I never would have been able to teach her half of the things you have," he pointed out. 'hell, we wouldn't even be here of it weren't for you," he added

She chuckled, laying back beside him. "Oh please, you're making me sound like a hero or something." Elara mused, glancing over at Sage and getting caught in his gaze for a moment, deciding to see which of them would look away first.
