Sage snickered softly in response to her comments, grinning over at her when she mentioned a tour guide. "Yeah well, you're stuck with me forever now," he chirped lightly. "Oh you definitely signed up for it," he noted lightly. "And my decision making skills havent improved but Maris trained me to not act on at least half of them," he laughed, shaking his head. When she offered her hands to him, he took them and nodded as she mentioned att. "I'll come find you before I leave, yeah," he mused before she agreed and he wandered off to find the boy.

Anya groaned and shook her head at him, her shoulders rising and falling as she let out a heavy breath. "Forever is a long time to be stuck with you," she complained, though nodded in agreement when he said hed come find her later on. She wasn't overly sure what to do... well, not for a little while. She was just wandering, aimlessly, like she had been doing for the last few weeks. It was... weird. She couldn't even begin to explain it. Her mother wasn't talking down her ear, and her father... well, she wasn't constantly trying to impress him. It was just peaceful, she supposed. Atticus was happily wandering around the stable blocks, Luther's leadrope in his hands as the two of them just... ambled, he supposed. He'd been doing that alot. Working on the colts groundwork and the likes. He enjoyed spending time with the young animal, although he was nearly as tall as he was at with withers now. He still looked like the scraggly yearling he was, but he was growing, and quickly too.

Sage chuckled in response to Anya's comment, just waving at her as he moved to wander down towards the barn. He found Att soon enough...with the colt, of course. He watched them move along for a while, Att babbling to Luther as they moved along. It was nice to see...they really were fond of each other, and he was certainly glad he'd given Att the horse. He moved to wander closer to them after a few minutes, a light grin on his face. "He looks good," he noted after a moment, moving to stroke the colt's muzzle with his knuckles as the horse greeted him happily.

Att jumped a little when the heard the mans voice, but a big grin split his face after a moment, and ruffled the colts forelock up playfully. "As good as a lanky yearling can look," he chirped happily. He looked to Sage for a moment, then back at the colt. "I'm sorta terrified for when he bulks up though," he mused lightly to him. The animal was already huge... he would be an absolute tank in a year or so. He kept on wandering back towards the paddocks as they chatted. "He's been lunging nicely... not had a lot of desensitizing to do... he's pretty easy," he chirped. Edited at December 7, 2024 01:20 PM by Belle

Sage chuckled softly when Att jumped, though didn't tease him about it since conversation had moved on to the colt that was begging for attention from them both as of then. "Don't listen to him, your beautiful," he told the horse, clearly just teasing Att a bit. He moved to walk next to them, humming with a light nod in response to the boy's comments. "He'll be big," he agreed, eyeing the colt. "He's about as bombproof as they come," he agreed with a fond note in his voice. He was proud of the colt...the boy too, but this was a horse he'd bred and started to raise. And now he could raise him alongside Att, which was even better. "He had to put up with me for the first bit of his life, i'd like to think he could put up with anything," he added with a laugh.

Atticus scoffed, though the colt seemed happy enough be to doted on despite what he'd just said about him. Well, for starters he was a horse so would have made no difference, but apparently he was like person luther... and from the very, very little he could remember of the man, he wasn't... he wasn't the brightest. He tickled the horses muzzle when he went to sniff him, though, a little smile across his face. "He is beautiful," he agreed happily. He hummed in agreement... he really couldn't be happier. Sage had done an incredible job breeding him, and Atticus could only see himself as glad that he'd been willing to give Luther to him. He then let out a happy little laugh at his next comment. "Well he must be special if he had to put up with you," he mused lightly.

Sage had hummed lightly in response to Att's comment, patting the colt's neck. "He'll serve you well," he agreed lightly. He hoped neither of them would ever have to go into battle. Be forced into any situtations like that. Unfortunetly, it was bound to happen at some point. He could only hope they'd both come out of it strong. Anya too. He rolled his eyes in response to Att's tease though, wrinkling his nose and letting out an amused "Ha, ha," to the boy. "Why don't we work on getting a saddle on him," he suggested after a while. If the colt didn't need much desensitization work, it would help if he was accustomed to wearing a saddle and bridle long before anyone ever got on him. Take it slow. Especially since the wheels didn't turn in his barin as fast as some of the other horses Sage had worked with over the years.

Att nodded in agreement to him before leading him back towards the stable. He would do well - he wasn't the brightest, but he trusted Att. He'd do what was asked of him, and he'd try his hardest to do it well. He went to grab a saddle out the tack room once he'd tied the horse up, but rather than one of the big chunky ones the kights used, it as more of a strap of leather. It would be good for the first try on the horse. They worked for about and hour with the horse, the animal a little nervous but trusting all the same. They walked for a little while, just in the round pen before finally putting the horse away again. Att brushed his hands off before grinning at Sage happily. "Are you going to see Anya?" he asked lightly, his head slightly cocked.

Sage moved to brush the colt off a little bit while Att moved to grab the saddle. Well...it wasn't really a whole saddle, but it was the same concept. It was just lighter, which would be better for the colt's growing legs and such anyway. He moved to hold the horse, allowing him to sniff the leather, before letting Att work at getting it on the animal. He'd shuffled aorund a little, clearly nervoud about something going on him, but nothing outrageous. He was clearly trying to figure out what the heck was happening. He did catch on soon enough though, so by the time they'd put him away Sage really was proud of him. At Att's comment, he hummed and nodded. "I promised her I'd stop by before I headed home," he msued lightly. "Keep up the good work with Luther, yeah," he mused, clapping the boy on the shoulder and telling him and the colt bye ebfore wandering back to the castle to find Anya.

Atticus was deffinately happy with the colt, and more than thrilled that he had someone knowladgeable to help him out. Sage was very good with the animals - and Att couldn't help but admire the man. Luther was also incredibly easy, as afar as young horses went. When Sage bid him goodbye, he grinned and waved him off, more than happy to go back to playing around with the young horse happily once he'd gotten him back into the paddocks. Anya was settled in her room, just leaning on the door to her balcony, just... well, doing not a lot. It was such an odd feeling, and she couldn't quite put a finger on it. It was a nice feeling, though. Everything was so quiet.
