Sage found himself watching Elara as she combed her hair out, the soft waves of hair making her seem less...armoured in a way. Softer. And in the candelight, she looked really good. Beautiful. He forced himself to look away when a blush formed on his face, but moved to sit down in his chair with a sigh instead.

Elara looked up and saw Varys outside the door, pawing on the frame to be let inside. She stood, walking over to let the wolf inside. He trotted over to Sage, tail wagging as he pawed at his leg, wanting pets. Elara chuckled softly, walking back over to the bed and slipping under the covers, glancing over at Sage. "Good night, Sage." She murmured, turning as she slipped her eyes shut.

Sage had laughed softly when varys trotted over to him, reaching out to the wolf and stroking him gently, a grin forming on his face when the animal moved to lock his chin excitedly. When elara spoke up, he glanced over at her with a smile and a nod. "Sleep well," he noted softly. He pet varus for a few more minutes before curling up on his chair and letting himself drift off as well.

Elara drifted off, slipping deep into sleep and dreaming of their earlier conversation---oh, and also how she was pretty sure she had convinced Sage she was asleep since he had kissed her cheek a day or two prior, she was still somewhat proud of that.

Sage stayed in a rather deep sleep for the rest of the night, varys laying on the floor beside the chair he was in. He woke the next morning to Liz tugging on his shirt....she was ready to start her day, apparently. He sort of moved to get up with a quiet sigh, not wanting to wake Elara, and moved to let Liz and varys out of the house.

Elara eventually awoke, a bird having landed right outside the wall and was now chirping practically as loud as possible. She flicked her eyes open, sitting up---her hair all in her face. Great. After having just combed it all it was now tangled again. Great. The woman sighed, pushing it off her face before working the tangles back out, deciding it was good enough as she stepped outside, curious to what the three of them were doing.

Sage had set to work making a fire, while Liz disappeared into the brush to use the bathroom. She'd come back moments later, of course, and was running around with vays when he heard the cabin door open. He glanced over to see Elara there, and felt a grin form on his face. "Morning," he noted with a sort of chuckle before moving back to coaxing the fire upwards.

"Morni-" She cut off, Liz seeing her and exclaiming. "ELARA!" The girl sprinted over, giddy. "Look--look what I taught Varys!" She explained, overjoyed. Elara chuckled, nodding. "Go ahead." Liz nodded, calling Varys over before motioning, the wolf rolling over. "Wow, good job Liz!" She congratulated, the girl grinning before darting off. Elara walked over and sat beside Sage---leaving only a small gap between them. "Anyway, good morning. She been doing this all morning?"

|
Sage winced when Liz started screaming, sort of leaning away from her even though it wouldn't do much. She was loud, and you'd think he'd be used to it by now, but not quite. He did watch with fond amusement as she excitedly showed off the new trick, grunting with a nod in response to elaras question as she sat down next to him. "Pretty much," he noted, voice laced with a fond amusement as he leaned back on his arms with a sigh, the fire having gotten going well enough by then. "Started bright and early," he added.

Elara chuckled, resting her head on her fist as she looked back at Sage. "Good thing i'm a heavy sleeper then," She noted, feeling a rush of air past her and whipping her head around, seeing Liz was now chasing after a flying beetle. The woman glanced back at Sage. "Yep, now I see what you mean."
