Tyler walked forward as well, but more to the right of the trail, his broad shoulders brushing the tree leaves. He walked in silence for a couple moments before smiling at what she said, nodding slightly. "Soon." He chuckled, though in his head he was still having to force it out. Tyler was trying quite hard to be kind, and he was trying to be friendly, and trying to be social (his mind shivered at that word) but it was still a little tough. Since Regan said they were going back, he did turn around after a couple steps, lengthening his strides slightly to get a foot or two ahead. Tyler did have some things to take care of.

Regan watched the boy curiously after a little bit, then gave a heavy sigh. It was odd to hear him chuckle or laugh the way he way - trying to be cheery. Not that wasn't to say she didn't like it, but it was still just weird. He wasn't a smiley happy person, so it did confuse her. He didn't have to be overly nice just... civil. But he was trying, and she couldn't tell him to stop and go back on his words... and at least he was doing something to stop them falling out. She knew that she was most of the issue when they didn't get along, and she did feel bad... but at least he was trying. "You and your nets," she huffed in a teasing manner, rolling her eyes as he turned to walk a few steps ahead. She looked to Jaxon with a cocked head, and the man just sort of shrugged. He just sort of seemed relieved not to be shouted at by Tyler... or not to have any weird looks or threats or anything.

Tyler walked until he could see the cabin, acknowledging he heard what Regan said by inclining his head slightly. He went over to the door before stopping and glancing back at Regan. "I'll be gone an hour or two, I have to do something. I trust you will stay alive?" He half joked, grabbing something that looked a little like rope and starting back towards a different trail in the woods.

Tyler went down the trail and to a small village, glancing around before walking silently through the abandoned ruins. He went to the back where a small wooden stables stood, entering the rotting wood door. A stale scent filled the barn, but a small strain of sweet smelling hay wafted through. Tyler went to a back stall and opened it, revealing a dainty looking horse. It was a red dun mare, with sooty black spots speckling its coat and haunches. Tyler slipped the halter on and led the mare out, her hooves clopping through the streets. She danced slightly on the lead rope but did nothing else, following willingly.

He led the mare down the trails and back to the cabin, tying her to a tree and patting her.

Regan walked quietly before looking back over to Tyler, rolling her eyes at him ever so slightly. "I'll stay alive, promise," she hummed happily to him. "Or, I'll try," she mused lightly, she looked towards the little hut, Jax at her side as she waddled along. She was glad that Tyler was trying to be a bit kinder... more cheery, but in a way it also saddened her... he felt like he had to do that to get along with her, and it did make her feel a bit... guilty. She should have been trying to s bit harder, but this was working, for now. After a little while, she heard hoof steps on the hard ground outside, and kind of half ran, half walked towards the window. "What's he doing..." she trailed off a little bit before scampering out the door, kind of standing in the door frame with her arms crossed over her chest with a curious look on her face. "Tyler, what's this?" She asked with a small chuckle.

Tyler glanced up as Regan came out, looking a bit sheepish. "Welllll I found her wandering in the forest on one of my walks. She wasn't rabid, and I thought having a horse may be nice... plus I felt bad." He answered slowly, and the mare perked her ears, nickered to Regan, then danced back and forth a little. "She obviously had owners before this whole thing happened, but I think she has been running free for a while." Tyler commented, untangled her tail. "I've taken to calling her Sahara, but you can call her whatever you want." He said quietly, looking back at Regan to see how she was taking it.

Regan stood in the doorway with a sceptical look across her face, but carefully wandered down the steps and towards the two. She looked a bit nervous if anything. She didn't mind horses, but they were big and - well, sort of scary. "So you just saw a horse wandering about and thought, 'hey, I should have that'?" She asked with an amused chuckle before shaking her head. "Where are you gonna keep her?" She asked with a small huff of air. She kind of wondered over to him, sort of humming a tune as she went to lean against the tree.

Tyler furrowed his black brows slightly and looked at Regan with a tilted head. "I didn't think EXACTLY that..." He answered, not being able to help a small smile. Tyler stroked the mare's neck to calm her down, seeing the slight look of wariness on Regan's face. "Well horses can be left outside, if that's what you mean..." He commented with an amused grin, then continued. "I'll build a fence. There's a field right behind the cabin, maybe 50 feet away through the trees. It's big enough to graze a horse for a while. After that I'll build a shelter, but that's not needed right away." He finished with a slight shrug. Tyler had horses a long time ago... well, like, 10 years ago. He knew how to take care of them and knew how to act around them. "A horse can be a lot of fun, plus whenever I need to go somewhere Sahara garuntees a fast way to get there." Tyler said quietly

Regan nodded slowly, but kind of shook her head in the end. "You know, hun, if you put her in a field then she can't run away if something attacks her," she warned gently, still kind of fiddling with her hair. She didn't want him to be upset at all... this seemed exciting for him, but she was also a little bit worried that if something happened to the horse, then he would be completely and utterly distraught. It did sadden her, just a bit. She didn't want him to go through that. "I mean, do what you want, but know I don't want anything to do with the animal," she added again, her voice careful not to make him think she was upset.

Tyler snorted slightly, almost laughing. "The fence is to make her want to stay. Unless I made a 10 feet tall chain link barrier, she would run whether I wanted her to or not. You don't have to worry about that. Also, you don't have to do anything with her." Tyler paused. "on second thought, if you do not want her here, that is completely fine." He assured with a small smile, leading the mare away. "I'll be right back." He told Regan, going into the woods. Tyler hiked a little ways away and let the mare loose, patting her neck. He knew she would stay as safe as possible. He then walked back to the cabin, running a hand through his black hair

Regan cocked her head at him after a moment or two, her brows slightly furrowed. "What if she was to be cornered. She'd hurt herself on the fence or be killed. I just don't want you be hurt or upset if that were to happen," she murmured gently to the boy. She furrowed her brows when he walked off, trying to stop him from leaving but by then he was already off. When he came back, though she shook her head at him. "I didn't say I didn't want her here," she told him quietly. "I'm just worried about you, is all. I don't know what you'd be like if anything were to happen.
