Axel nodded along with Duncan's comments, face softening slightly when he admitted to feeling behind in it all. "You'll find someone," he noted. "You're too nice not to," he added with a chuckle. Then he shrugged. "Besides, if it makes you feel any better I've never been in a relationship either," he noted with a slight wrinkle to his nose.

"Well, I suppose its not easy finding anyone in the barraks," he chuckled lightly. "Its not that I haven't been in relationships, its just... I always mess them up," he sighed.

Axel grunted in agreement to Duncan's comments, nodding along. "They work us pretty hard. No one really has any energy for anything once we get back inside,* he noted. Though, when he mentioned messing relationships up, he cocked his head slightly. "I can't believe it's your fault," he noted. "I mean, you've been nothing but good to me, so there's no way you'd do something bad with a partner," he pointed out.

"No, it is me, and its not that I do anything bad, its just, I get too nervous to do anything," he sighed, looking at his hands.

Axel grunted softly, thinking, when Duncan explained what he normally did. "Ah," he noted, sort of moving to stand up and flop on the bed beside him with a sigh. "I guess you just hanet met the right person yet," he mused, turning to peer up at the other man.

Duncan laid back, now settling next to him. "Yeah," he sighed. "Got any tips?" he added with a chuckle.

Axel felt Duncan settle down next to him, their shoulders brushing slightly. It brought a smile to his face. Though, at his comment he couldn't help but laugh. "God no," he noted. "I live on a battlefield," he added. "Not quite the space to date anyone. Or get laid," he added.

Duncan smiled and chuckled. "I guess thats true," he chuckled lightly. "Well, who knows, maybe you'll find someone here,"

Axel hummed softly, lifting his shoulders in a shrug. "I'm pretty sure everyone but you hates me," he pointed out with a sort of wrinkle to his nose. "Besides, mixes are hated enough as is. I can't imagine how people would treat a kid if I had one and it had traits of three kingdoms," he noted with a frown. "I just say, you've got a better chance at it than me," he added, patting Duncan's leg with a small laugh.

Duncan frowned. "Yeah... I guess that wouldn't go very well," he sighed. "I dunno about that..." he trailed off. Duncan had been labeled. He'd only ever dated one princess, from the Spring kingdom, but that was because his mother had set them up. He'd thought she was kind and opened up to her. She was, for a while. But after months of trying to be together, she'd finally been fed up with him. Everytime she had made a move on him, he froze up, absolutely petrified and ran from it. Within the 11 months of dating her, he couldn't even kiss her cheek. When she left, she told everyone how awful he was with relationships, how skittish he was with anything romantic, and it had made it to the press. Duncan had been mocked and publically shamed, even by his own kingdom. That was when things got bad. He'd locked himself up in his room and hadn't made an appearance to the public since. Hadn't really spoken to many people since. But Duncan didn't share this with Axel. He didn't think that news would've reached him, but who knows, he had been the talk of the world for a few months, maybe Axel already did know.
