Esme blushed slightly. "Yeah, you too,"

|
"Mhm." Jason hugged her once more before the final award was passed out, a guy named Micheal beaming up on the stage as the plaque was handed to him. Jason clapped automatically, just as everyone else. Once they announced the end of the event, Jason led Esme back to the car, opening the door for her once again like a gentleman.

"Thank you," she breathed, getting in.

They drove home in silence, Jason focusing on the road and the soft purr of the engine. He was tired and just wanted to get home as soon as he hit something, blowing the tire. He pulled over. "Shit." He began fixing it, staining his shirt and hands.

Esme peered out the window, "Will it be okay?" she asked.

|
|
| |

|
"Yeah." Jason said, popping the new tire on with a grunt before looking up through the window at Esme's face through the glass. He smeared some dirt across his face, wiping it off.

Esme nodded, "Oop, you missed some," she murmured, gently reaching out and brushing it off gently with her fingertips.

Jason chuckled, a shiver going down his spine as Esme's soft fingers brushed his forehead. "Ok, lets go home. I assume you're tired too." Jason mused, hopping into the car, the engine purring to life as usual.

She nodded, pulling her hand back, "Yeah, lets go," she murmured. When they got home, she got out, moving to her bedroom immediately, changing out of the dress. That night, it was late, but she heard a knock on the door. Curious, she went to answer it, but Bradley, stood on the other side. "Hey, beautiful," he hummed. Esme shocked and terrified, stood totally still. "Bradley," she breathed.

Jason heard the knock on the door, and Esme answering it as he crept down the stairs, standing there and watching the man who he hadn't regonized say something to Esme as Jason walked a few more steps down.
