Neveah felt a flourish of relief flood through her entire being when the blinking dot on her device suddenly began to move, indicating that the van was traveling somewhere, she prayed to whatever gods above that it was to where Aurelius was. Despite everything that had happened and all of her conflicting her emotions, she truly knew now that he was the one that could change everything, not her or any other human or vampire. It wounded her ego a little, but she had faced reality back then when she had seen the devastation and death that Carmilla could cause with a mere flick of her wrist. It was both frightening and disheartening to know that this was who the entirety of human was in the palms of if she managed to get what she wanted: control over everyone and everything.
She rose from where she had scurried off to once she composed herself, her hair swaying slightly in the chilling breeze. Truth be told, she had clearly forgotten that she had no method of transportation to wherever the van was going; she nearly cursed aloud at her stupidity, but she would have to make due with what she had: her legs. Once she was certain the monsters that were patrolling to and fro at what she presumed was the loading dock, she darted back into the circus tent itself and winded to and fro throughout the crowd until she managed to make it back outside. She took a moment to glance backwards, her heart clenching in her chest as the vision from before came to life all over again. The mutilated bodies.. the blood.. the dismembered limps.. It was all so grotesque and it made her beyond sick to her stomach.
Now was not the time to dwell on such things, especially when humanity lay in the delicate balance Neveah turned sharply and started to race down the street, eyes mostly glued to her phone as she followed the track left behind by the van and the chip she had implanted on its side. There was the possibility that the van was going on a supply run or something other than where Aurelius was, but her heart and mind were both telling her that she was going in the right direction. With renewed confidence, she quickened her pace and continued onwards, pushing past her physical limits. It felt like she had been running for centuries before she finaly decided that enough was enough, slowing down and leaning over as she panted heavily.
For a brief moment, she wondered how much easier it would be if she were a vampire.. if she had those abilities and immunities that they had. She had heard rumors of vampires transitioning humans into their kind, even if the process itself was deadly; it was frowned upon by humans and vampires alike, feeling as if doing so went against the order of everything. Besides, humans turned vampires were usually vicious and constantly bloodthirsty, things that would get them killed mere hours after they changed and adjusted even a little bit to their new bodies.
(Although this is short, I have returned, xd. Writer`s block absolutely destroyed me regarding this roleplay for a while, plus the Holidays made me busy, ;-;)
