It just came out I'm so sorry) The elf was hardly one for sensing if something was off but he adjusted slightly, a hand coming down to the fire. He pulled his hand away and blinked awake when it started getting so warm it hurt. He looked over to check on Eris since he wasn't sure how long it had been at first. She was not there. He sat up pretty fast, it had hardly been a few minutes if that, he could see the mare was still awake and the fire had barely changed, same for the shadows from the moonlight. He rubbed his face and let out an exhausted sigh before he stood up. His eyes roamed their camp for, he didn't go to grab anything- he didn't want to hurt her of course. He walked over to where the horses were and stared around, seeing the hoofprints move a little and then go north. He walked down that path for a moment before he decided why not. He'd see her before she saw him. before long the dark particles of magicdid their thing, outlining and forming. Once the feeling formed in his canid legs, he picked up the pace. His paws struck the ground lightly as he ran along the path he could clearly define by smell. He was trying to sneak. It took him a second but he found her. if she wants to blind him when he knocks her off the horse or while theyre wrestlinng i dunno find a time)

Sand + eyes = blind)) Eris was already feeling the impact on her leg from riding bareback. With less support, she was essentially in agony as she moved, rocking with the movement of her gelding's canter. Still, she breathed through her teeth and managed, quiet as they went onward. She glanced over her shoulder every so often, searching the forest quietly. She sent out a small, trickling wave of shadow, reading it as it moved. Her eyebrows furrowed slightly as she felt a large... creature, matching her pace and directly following her. She would not be afraid. With increasing pressure in her calves, she urged her gelding on, leaping a fallen tree and holding on with her thoughts for dear life, even if it felt like she was dying as she did so.

👍🏻) Kin was tired but running like this felt good, much better than how he felt riding a horse. That and the thrill of the chase. Though his jaw clenched seeing as how she had decided to run. Which undoubtedly wasn't going to end very well for her. He stretched out to start sprinting to the left, giving her a wide berth. His intent was to cut her off and get ahead of her and stay out of slight. He could see her, a speck in the distance. He was sure she couldn't see him. Pf course she was riding a light grey horse and he definitely blended in with their surroundings better. It didn't take him long to overtake her. And then get in front of her. His body returned to the twolegged form as he crept up a little onto a tree. He'd basically been guessing where she would come through and it appeared he might be right when she rode ride past him. He launched off the branch and into her, sending the both on them into the ground, him on his back a foot or two away. Rolling over uncomfortably.

Eris closed her eyes and usher her horse on, trying to focus on her shadows to pinpoint the creature's location. She finally felt like she got a grip on it, then- gone. Or perhaps smaller, and then it had left her plane of searching. It had either gone up, or down. Her chest heaved a little with the faintest of panics, but she shook her head and took a breath, focusing on the shooting pain in her leg instead. It sucked, but she refused to be anything but calm. Her gelding stretched himself out to his full stride, and she started taking deeper breaths. She could make it. It would take a day of riding, maybe less, but she could do it. She might make it out, get back, and move up a few ranks for sec- Shit. Next thing she knew, she was flying toward the ground, her leg was throbbing in agony, and there was a body on top of her. Her back hit the ground hard, but she managed to keep her breath, scrambling to her feet- or foot, in this case- and shifting into a fighting position, attempting to move backwards and toward her steed, which seemed to have stopped at least 100 feet away. She ripped a knife out of its sheath, taking hard breaths and backing off, twirling the knife in her hand all the while. Anything to keep him from thinking of the shadows around him. Now, while she wasnt one to run from a fight, she didn't have any other option, really. She was down a leg, and it was cursing her entire immune system. It seemed particularly bad now that she actually needed it to be better.

Kin suffered quietly, save for a cough as he swept himself up off the ground, his chest had connected with something unfavorably hard, he assumed her shoulder. Unceremoniously getting his balance back as he eyed the blade. He wanted to reach for his but he still didn't want to hurt her.. He held his hands out, peacemaking posture but he was very ridgid. "Can you put it down?" He asked exhaustedly.. He really would rather she didn't stab him in general. Because then he'd be bleeding out and wanted because he lost the person who basically everyone would likely be assuming the same as him. Or at least he had assumed it. That she summoned the demonic bear.

Eris backed up quietly, eyes wide, vaguely like am animal. One of her legs was shaking, and the trembling got worse with every moment. She blinked hard at him for his tone, the lack of blatant hostility... the fact that he didn't look like he wanted to kill her. Still, she didn't falter, stuck in both fight and flight. "Will you let me go?" She challenged, forcing her words to be firm rather than shaky. Her arms were tensed, knife still flashing as she made her way continually backward. She had maybe 80 feet to go, if her leg didn't give out first.

The elf's eyes flicked back and forth between her face and the knife. She looked a bit feral but he walked at her, when she took a step, so did he. "Unfortunately no." He looked a little bit apologetic. "Even if I would, you won't make it to the border. You are wounded, and wanted." He warned. He was honestly preparing to jump on her or something because he really was not going to let her leave lest he was half dead and couldn't move. He didn't want the whipping he'd get if she left. He wanted to doubt her navigational skills but she was heading vaguely in the right direction? It would take a long time but she would be in Greenbriar. Not without being questioned and possibly stopped. "Please don't make me have to take the knife and drag you back." He said with the exasperation of a sleep deprived father.

Eris took in a hard breath as he followed her, attempting to move faster, her leg trembling everytime she balanced even halfheartedly on it. She looked offended through her viciousness at his lack of belief in her abilities- though some part of her acknowledged he was right. "I could. I will. Just let me go home." She said, her voice breaking slightly on the last word as her leg gave a little too much. She stumbled back, bracing herself with her free hand and a hiss of pain, wielding ehr dagger in front of her. At his words, she bared her teeth in something like a sneer, though animalistic and she moved to stand, tense through her whole body.

"As much as I would like to believe you I really don't." Kin nonchalantly admitted. Honesty is a grest policy but probably not to be used when speaking to a wounded animal you've just started cornering. Who has a knife. Or had. He lunged as she tripped up, it felt like an unfair fight. Because it was. He twisted the knife out of her hand and twisted her arm around her back. He had all but forgotten about the shadows she used the last time he did something like this.

"Try me." Eris snapped, sucking in a breath as he lunged forward and bringing her knife up. She let out something like a growl as the silver fell from her hand, writhing slightly when he got around her back. She whipped her head back and bashed it into his chin, forcing herself forward and clutching a fistful of the sandy Imedal soil. In a half second, she threw the fistful into his face- eyes, in particular, and slammed out of his grip. The adrenaline was helping to keep her leg up, but she could only last so long. With the knife out of sight, she let shadows curl around her fingers and shoot, solid, at the elf behind her. Chaining his wrists, ankles, and neck- yanking him back into the ground. She took the opportunity and made a stumbling run for it, forcing each stride.
