Saphire laid down, her legs wrapped around the base of the tree, her back against the branch. She glanced over at Cade, a slight smile crossing her face. "Hes cute isn't he" she asked quietly
| |
Cade nodded, more to himself than her. "He is. You should keep him, he can keep you company."
She shook her head "I don't know if I can.. I've never tried to bring anything to the underworld so I would have to leave him here. I wouldn't want to have to leave and then return and him be gone" she sighed and looked up at the stars. Her emerald eyes sparkled, the blue specks catching the dim light and reflecting it
| |
Cade thought for a moment. "What if you didn't return to the underworld?"
Saphire paused. "What? I have to" she looked at him then sat up. "If I didn't return then I don't know what would happen. I do know that Lucifer would try to find me and that could be hell on earth- literally" she gulped at the thought of this precious world being burned alive. "I- I can't" she shook her head then flexed her wings, her quiet sign of being uncomfortable with a situation or a thought.

Cade nodded quickly, aware that he had make Saphire uncomfortable. "I'm sorry." He quietly muttered, stroking Rascal to distract himself.
She shook her head. "It's fine. I shouldn't be so sensitive about these things" she said quietly. "What time do you think it is?" She asked. She wasn't tired, but she did want to get some rest. She looked over at Rascal then up at Cade, a light blush covering her cheeks for a second. Saphire moved from her branch over to Cades, petting Rascal quietly, not daring to make eye contact with Cade
| |
Cade didn't say anything when Saphire hoped over to his branch. He blushed lightly, avoiding eye contact with Saphire. "I'm not sure, I'd say 10:30 ish?"
"Okay" she said softly, risking a quick glimpse of Cades face before looking back down at Rascal. She let him, her hand bumping Cades occasionally
| |
Cade blushed whenever her hand bumped his, he was grateful for the fact that she couldn't see him blushing.
