Zephyr's eyes brightened slightly as he saw Sophia walking over. He adjusted slightly to get ready to.. think. He lifted his eyebrows as she started explaining. "I won't touch your sketchbook." He promised, then looked at the papers. "I'm not terrible at math." He snorted, taking a pencil and concentrating as she showed him how to do it. He continued trying as she left. When she came back he was still trying to figure out every line, and when she asked him what he thought he leaned back slightly. "Wow." Zeph was shocked at how HORRIBLE it ended. It looked like a stick flower with spikes. "Ouch."

"Oh that's ok!" She leaned over the table to add a few lines and boom. It was a good flower already! "Just takes some different points of view sometimes.

Zephyr furrowed eyebrows. The more he looked at it the more it looked like a velociraptor. It was supposed to be a flower. He shook his head slightly and glanced up at Sophia. "Huh. I have no idea how you just did that-" He gestured towards the new and improved flower. "But wow."

Soph shrugged. "It's nothing. Just a secret power of mine" she glanced around to see Izzy sitting with Blake. They were smiling at each other. Sophia looked away from them, pulling her sketchbook closer to her and putting it away along with the picture she had. "Ok. After practice, I'm going to teach you how to properly bat" she grinned. "Unless you don't want to... " she would have to tell her parents that she was staying late to practice. She KNEW they would have a fit if they knew she was alone with a guy

Zephyr chuckled a little at that. "Well it is a mighty good secret power if you ask me." He commented, glancing around to see Peter grinning like a five year old that just got cake. Zeph resisted the urge to roll his eyes. He was surprised Pete hadn't come over already and tried to supremely embarrass him. At Sophia's words he looked back at her. "You might have a little more luck with that." He said with a smile, then shook his head. "No, that is definitely something I have to learn. That way when people make me mad I can PROPERLY smack em in da head with a bat." He grinned, obviously joking.

"Wow. Pretty intense need for learning if you ask me... or pretty much anyone" she shook her head, a smile crossing her lips "why do you need to smack someone in the head with a metal abt anyway? Who makes you mad?"

Zephyr snorted a little. "Pfft, it could also be useful for, you know, hitting softballs or baseballs or something, but hey." He joked with a small smile, then tilted his head at her question. +Uhm+ he thought. "We-ell no one really makes me THAT mad and it was a joke for thar reason andddddd a loooot of people make me mildly irritated soooo..." He ran a hand through his hair, glanced at the clock, and let his eyes widen. "We're gonna be late- class starts in 30 seconds." He winced, jumping up and grabbing his stuff. "Great talk, see you after school so you can teach me not to hit people with bats." He half joked before slipping out the door quickly and all but scrambling to his class. He was met with a very angry science teacher. "You are A WHOLE MINUTE LATE." He all but yelled. Mr. Lorenzo was his toughest teacher about time. "Why should I even teach you?!" Zeph raised his eyebrows. "If you don't it's your fault I fail exams." He shrugged, then smiled slyly. The teacher glared. "Class, take this example. Zephyrus here is failing. If you all study hard, do the work, and show up on time, you'll become rich and prosperous." Zephyr's smile slowly grew. "Why didn't you?" He asked sweetly. "PRINICIPAL'S OFFICE, NOW!" The teacher yelled. Zephyr shook his head slightly and left, practically sauntering to the principals office. He was called in. He sat down. "Mind explaining to me what happened?" The principal, Mrs. Larken asked. "Yes, actually." Zephyr explained the whole conversation. At the end it looked like Mrs. Larken was about to die of laughter. He face had grown really red and her shoulders were shaking a little. "Don't do that again Zephyr. Go to your next class." She squeezed out with a tiny smile. Zephyr grinned as he left. He was popular among students, buuuut the principal loved him. She was always on his side, because for one she was his neighbor and for two she admired his words. He never got away with much, but he never seemed to get in too big of trouble either. After all his classes he went to basketball.

Sophia made it into her class just as the bell rang. "You were almost late. " the teacher growled. "Sorry Mr. Phelps" she said as she walked to her desk. She suffered through English. Sophia grabbed her bags and darted out the door to be the first girl to the softball field. She warmed up by herself while the others arrived. "You're here early" the coach said with a smile. "Yes. I am" she tossed a ball to Izzy. "Hurry up!" She called as she ran her laps quickly. The two made it a game by tossing the ball to each other as they ran. They played a fake game before practice ended. "I'm tuckered out!" Izzy cried as she and most of the other girls made their way to the locker rooms. Sophia and two other girls stayed behind to collect some of the balls that had gotten away. After the field was clean, everyone changed except Sophia

The coach and them practice dribbles and backboard hoops, which were honestly quite easy unless done at a super steep angle. Zephyr breezed through everything and helped his team out, although he barely even glanced at Lank- or, as the Nickname was, Hornet. He finished it off by showing them all how to get a perfect three pointer, then the coach called them aside. "Our first game is the day before prom. That's less than a week away. Actually, 3 days now. Train hard. Work hard. Play hard." The coach instructed before shooing them away. Zeph changed back into normal clothing and jogged out to the softball field to see Sophia there, waiting. "How did your practice go?" He asked, putting his stuff down.

"Pretty good I guess? We played a practice game and my team lost. Coach said she had a talk to the girls who changed early. Glad I decided to stay behind an clean up the balls" Sophia pulled out her bat. "Ready?" She asked with a grin. She was already walking to home plate. "First of all. You know where each base is,m and its name right? Atleast some of the fundamentals or are we starting all the way at the beginning?"
