He narrowed his eyes. His expression should tell her that he wasn't entirely sure if she was joking. He glanced downward at her. "Its a lot like paperwork. In the sense that counting and accounting for souls is also grueling, time consuming and in both a literal and figurative sense, soul consuming. Heaven isn't as on the free will chain as hell sounds. And as much as I'd like to kill at my liesure, white reapers aren't meant to be as..well evil, as demons are." He pursed his lips slightly. "No offense."

She shook her head with a smile as he spoke, listening intently. He seemed to have a hard time getting a grasp on humor at times. She raised her eyebrows at him. "I would be mortally offended, but I am not mortal or offended, because that is basically my job description. THAT sounds insanely boring and I would never make it through. Can't handle paperwork." She shrugged. "Well, you seem to like me enough so I can't be all that bad." She joked.

He pursed his lips as she complained about the job that she didn't have. It was indeed boring. "I do like you, I don't think you're evil. Well- I do but less in a villainous way." He wasn't really sure how to word it. "As you told me the first time we met, you are good company." He admitted, a little smiley. He looked ahead as a familiar face with wings started walking down the hall toward them. On edge in an instant as he watched the entity approached, slowing down.

She gave him a slightly shocked expression. "I don't know if I should be offended or complimented by that. Either way, thanks." She chuckled. "I tend to be right. And even when im wrong, im right. Remember that." She smiled up at him, following his suddenly concerned gaze to another face in the crowd. "Should I go..?" She asked him quietly, trying to act human.

He glanced down, a little surprised by the sound of her voice in the moment. Stopping as the angel got close. A "Ah Versailles. How curious. You know what this means." His hands were on his hips. Sal looked down at her and nodded quickly. The angel stepped closer to her and held out a hand, possibly to harm her, he didn't know. On a whim he decided violence was an answer and it was the first conclusion he found. He threw a punch, landing it on his face and throwing him across the hall.

She made to step back at Sal's nod, giving the angel's hand a dirty look as she attempted to turn on her heel. Until the hand got slammed back by a force she remembered quite well. She turned back to face them hastily, falling onto her back as she did so. She landed lightly, propping herself up on her elbows quickly as she looked up at Sal with her jaw agape. She blinked at him in stunned silence, unable to form... anything in her mind except the fact that she probably would've kissed him on the spot if she had been standing.

The angel was also quite stunned and leaned back little because he'd fallen on a chair, feeling his jaw for a moment. He turned and knelt for a moment, taking her hand to help her up, and standing also. "Go, please." He said urgently but not forcefully. He looked down, letting go of her hand as he realized he still had it and turned around to watch the higher ranked Angel's next move.

She took his hand quickly, standing with him and managing to shut her mouth. She hesitated for a half second at his command, giving his hand a quick squeeze and leaning forward to give him a kiss on the cheek as fast as she could. After, she turned and took off down the corridor to another staircase and running until she made in back to the NICU, gripping the edge of a table firmly and thinking about just what she could do.
