Ajax's eyes widened, and his hand flew to his heart. "How dare you." He quipped in a higher pitched voice, then wrinkled his nose and snorted. "No, that didn't work. Nope. Nada. Never again." He finished with a shiver. - Goose's eyes then widened, and he moaned. "No, how dare I. I'm such a terrible person. Mercy, how could I ever repay you." He lamented, sinking to his knees in a begging position before laughing again, standing and shaking his head. "You're right, I'm always on your side." He walked over next to her and leaned against the wall, then looked at Ajax. After he heard what Mercy said he had a look of horror on his face, flinching away. "No! How terrible!" He squeaked - Ajax looked shocked at Mercy's suggestion, his face falling like a boulder in water. "Never! I could absolutely never!" He cried out in pain, sagging back against the wall. "How could you put that in my poor fragile mind." Ajax sniffed

She looked at Ajax in shock as he attempted a high pitch, giggling at him as he realized how stupid he ahd soubded himself. "Yeah, maybe not the best idea." She teased. She looked over at Goose in mock disdain. "You could start by getting Rooster to stop being a mule." She joked. She nodded. "Wise choice. Because I'm always on the right side. Never forget that." She said sarcastically, shifting gently so one of her legs was bent and the other stretched out in front of her, laying her arms on the bent one happily. She laughed as the boys gave out their astonished reactions. "Because I'm just heartless." She mocked, smiling at him. "You wouldn't even do it if I paid you? I mean, Lover is a pretty damn good song to kick someone's ass to." She said, only halfway sarcastic.

Goose looked exasperated as he glanced at Mercy. "There is absolutely no way to do that, believe me, I have been with him a while." Goose pleadingly said before his expression became stunned again as his mind meandered back to Taylor Swift. "I would NEVER if you paid me NO THANKS." Goose snorted - Ajax's eyes widened further, his eyebrows shooting up. "I would absolutely NOT, even if you paid me more money than there was in the world. There is NOTHING you could do to EVER get me to kick someone's butt while THAT song is playing." He over exaggerated each important word, making dramamtic gestures with his hands in the process.

"I think dost protesteth a bit too muuuchhh." She said in a bit of a sing-song voice, just teasing him at this point. "Well, what would you do with money? If you beat someone in a fight to ANY Taylor Swift song, you can give me a dare that I can't refuse, no matter what." She said, almost challenging him. "Unless you're too much of a wimp." She shrugged nonchalantly. Edited at July 20, 2023 05:02 PM by Widow Valley Farms

Ajax almost covered his ears, wincing and frowning. "That is ear piercingly bad." He commented with a snort, then Mercy started talking again. Ajax's heart fell into a deep abyss with dread, for he knew two things. One, he was too prideful and stubborn to back out of whatever she was going to say. Two, he was going to absolutely hate and fail at whatever she said. "Well I don't have any dares to give you, so why does it matter to me?" He asked with an eyebrow raise. "I can beat anyone in a fight to any song, it would just be traumatic." Ajax announced with a huff

"You could save it up or something. I dunno; you can pick your payment. But really, I don't think you could. You're too chicken." She teased, giving a dramatic sigh. "I never would've taken you as a coward, Ajax." She teased, just trying to get him to rise to her bait. She watched him with a mischievous glint in her eye.

Ajax stood up with ana eyebrow raise. "I can fight a demon of your choosing and win, and added bonus... you can pick any song." He said with a steely voice, that same look in his eyes he had when smashing Hangman into the ground. He knew what he was going for, and he was the type to go above and beyond... even if it would kill him. - Goose watched in silence, then when Ajax spoke he gave a hoot. "Mercy, you are incredible! I've been trying to get him to even LISTEN to a pop song for YEARS... and you took 2 minutes to make him fight to one! Wow." Goose sighed

Mercy stood as he did, smirking. "Alright. I don't care which demon, how about... Rooster, pick a demon for him to beat into the ground. I ALSO don't care what song." She grinned at Goose, rolling her eyes. "Lets just say I have some special control over him. But go ahead, you can admire me." She joked. "And, Goose, why don't you pick his song? I think it'd be just perfect."

Rooster raised his bushy red eyebrows and looked at Ajax, grinning... which was rare to see and quite terrifying. - Goose's eyes widened. "Mercy I just felt the gates of heaven open up with angels singin' in a choir." He drawled, a teasing yet pleased expression on his face. As he looked at Ajax, that expression grew mischevious. - Ajax furrowed his brows slightly at what Mercy said, sighing a little. There goes the easy peasy air he had. "So? What demon am I battlin and what song am I battlin em to?" Ajax asked, crossing his arms again - Rooster stroked his bushy beard for a moment before snapping his fingers. "Ah I got it. How bout Bellatrix?" He smiled - Goose's eyes lit up like the fourth of July fireworks. "Let me think about that for a moment." He mused, then spread his hands. "I think I know the perfect thing." He purred, his expression lighting up as Ajax's fell. "How 'bout Party in the USA, by Miley Cyrus? You like that one, right?" He asked with a perfectly innocent expression - Ajax was NOT going to show that his spirits just dropped like an elephant shot by a 577 Nitro Express (giant type of elephant gun) then falling down the hill, landing in a never ending sea and turning into a body of rocks that just sank and sank. "Okay... I'll fight Bellatrix and I'll fight her to P-... Party In The USA..." Ajax muttered, his voice almost strangled on the songs name. He grabbed a couple daggers and put on his vest before stalking out of the cave like an angry bear that stood on two legs. "If y'all don't hurry up you'll miss the fight." He snorted at the three, launching into the air and immedietely diving into the treetops. Ajax swerved through the trees instead of going in the air, flying at full speed till he got to a yawning cavern that looked like a giant mouth full of fangs. "Bellatrix!" Ajax bellowed, already ready. This demon was... a woman, and she had long since vowed to kill Ajax as soon as she saw him. - Bellatrix snapped up to the sound of the one demon's voice she hated the most... more than any angel, more than Goose, more than Rooster, heck, even more than Bob. She flared her black wings and stalked out with a look that could murder someone, her black hair falling in curls over her shoulders. "You." She hissed angrily. "How dare you come here." She snarled, claws already appearing at her hands and fangs showing in her mouth

She smiled at Rooster and Goose, not quite mirroring their enthusiasm. "Awh, don't sound so sad, Ajax. You volunteered." She teased, brushing past him as she walked out to the entrance of the cave, looking back at them and listening. She giggled at their choices. "Oh, Katy Perry. Can't get any better than her." She giggled as he struggled through his orders. "Now you're just making me pity you." She joked, following him to wherever he was going, hiding her wings before the demon appeared. She stiffed at the sight of a female demon. She had never seen one before and it made her feel... especially threatened, for some reason. She bit her lip in slight hesitance as they geared up to fight, beginning to regret her decision.
