Tyler groaned inwardly. "Do you have to be so annoying all the time?" He snorted, lifting the hat slightly to see what she thought of the outfits. Obviously... he was not a beauty parlor person. He wore all black half because black was the one thing that you couldn't go wrong with. For her he found a couple sandy colored t shirts, and some jeans. That's how much thought he put into it. "You DO know when I get angry I tend to hurt people, right?" He sighed, slightly aggravated. He kept the hat raised slightly, peeking out from underneath it to make sure she didn't absolutely HATE the clothes. Edited at April 4, 2023 06:01 PM by Wild Warmbloods

The girl grinned at him and nodded softly. "Of course I do," she hummed in a happy tone, despite the man's slightly agitated voice, though she found that she rather enjoyed listening to him talk, even though he was just dissing her. She reached out to grab his hat from him so that the sun was shining onto his face and placed it on her own head, again, just to be annoying. "Ah, but I can look after myself, even against you," she hummed lightly. "And you wouldn't hurt me anyway. You have too much pride to hurt someone when they're already injured," she mused before rolling her eyes.

Tyler glared at her as the bright sun suddenly shine in his face. He hauled his body up till he was sitting with his back against the tree. "Okay okay I'm up what do you even want from me." He snorted, taking a swipe to grab his hat back and missing. "Also, you are still minorly injured and when I'm angry, I'm more deadly than my father is, so DONT go pushing my buttons. I..." he stopped at her last comment, frowning because he knew she was mostly right. Tyler sighed. "You are very unhelpful. Just tell me what you want so I can go back to sleep." He rolled his eyes, yet there was still a twinkling in them that no one had seen for the past 5 years.

Regan grinned at the man when she got him up, just to grin. "Nothing, I was just bored. But now you're up you might as well just sit and talk to me," she hummed to him, her face light. When he tried to swipe the hat off her, she ducked and put her hand on her head. "Nope, it's mine now," she told him with a playful grin. She rolled her eyes when he started telling her now dangerous he was... the truth was she didn't care. She could look after herself just fine, even injured. "I could protect myself against you just fine," she murmured before looking thoughtful and leaning in, sticking her face close to his with a bit of a smirk. "So I'm gonna push as many buttons as I please, and you're not gonna be able to do anything about it," she purred happily to hum. She just shrugged at his last comment, but she supposed it was true... she wasn't the most helpful. "I don't want anything," she told him after a few moments with a grin. "And you're not allowed to sleep now - your fault, not mine," she chirped happily.

Tyler looked at her grumpily. "Well I suppose madam amazing planner that you know exactly what to talk about? Because when I'm tired, you would be surprised how quickly I can go to sleep." He snorted, leaning his head against the tree with a sigh. His beard his gotten four inches long by now, so he grabbed a dagger, craftily cutting an inch or two off. Then he looked at Regan. "You have five seconds before I take the hat and go back to sleep." He said, mentally counting

The girl pouted and placed a hand on her head, holding the hat in place. "Fine, fine, fine," she murmured quietly before looking thoughtful. She then just went silent and stared at him with a grin. He wouldn't get the had back unless he could grab it, and he simply wouldn't be able to catch her... so she could make him get up and run around a bit. To be honest, she was still very childish... and he just seemed like a bit of a grump... she wanted to see him smile a bit.

Tyler waited, and when she didn't give it back he heaved a sigh. He suddenly, as fast as a striking Cobra, pulled a dagger from his belt and threw it at the hat, pinning it to the tree behind Regan. He then walked over, grabbed it, and grinned. "That's how you throw a dagger." He said in his low voice, collapsing against the tree. He put the hat over his face and was snoring quietly before Regan could do anything.

The girl squeaked when she heard a dagger rush past her, and ducked quickly, tucking her head under her arms. "God, you really are such a bore," she complained as she flopped down next to him. She was tired, she supposed, but she went to say something only to hear his snoring quietly. She sighed and settled down just next to the man, eventually drifting off to sleep.

Tyler was exhausted. He hadn't slept in days and his body was shutting down. So he slept, hour after hour till dawn broke and filtered through his hats frame. Tyler sat up, yawning. His black hair was all messed up, and he looked pretty tired but other than that... he felt fine. The man stood on his feet, stretching. Seeing Regan wasn't up yet he went a little ways away to a small stream, took off his shirt, and started washing the whip marks on his back. They were all but scars now, but still hurt terribly. He remembered that day...
