Lion's head flew up, his eyes widening. He took a step back from her looking... surprised. Maybe a little angry. Defeated. "How could you...?" He whispered, his eyes filled with hurt, his vision clouded.

Lion shook his head, just trying to get his head around all this. He finally croaked out.. "Pride... it's really you..."

"...you didn't want Ken getting back out. You knew I would rot away and die in here but you wanted me to stay.." he murmured, his eyes showing hurt. "You could have just come! You could have escaped with me! Maybe I'm nit the stallion you once knew." He muttered, dashing away towards the trees at the bottom of the valley. He was so depressed, so down that even knowing Pride... or Rose was here... Lion was trembling.

"i havn't been in the wild in years, and well, farm life has no need for speed! ive slowed down so much that i couldn't catch you..." her face fell as she remebered the look on his face when she told him that she might not come back as humans were hunting her herd. "i almost killed myself knowing i abandoned you.." she cried

Lion stopped halfway down. He felt like his heart was breaking in two. He never really had... emotions. Except for pride in being strong... he wasn't scared or angry or desperate or desolate. Suddenly they had all come flying at him and he felt overwhelmed... another thing he had never felt before. Lion knew he had to get out... but he wanted to stay with Pride, no Rose so badly. His life was falling apart before his eyes.

Lion took a breath, his eyes closing. "If you want to come with me... come with me." He said just quietly my enough for her to hear, then cantered down into the woods at the end of the Pasture. The exact place he had weakened the fence... Lion lengenthed into a gallop and barreled towards the fence, putting all his unnecessary emotions into it. He hit the fence with the force of a freight train... demolishing it. He rolled head over heels, landed with a pain screaming halt. (He didn't actually scream) His whole body felt like one wave of hot pain... but he was free. Lion got up, glanced back once, and decided if Rose would follow, she would follow. He would not get another chance... and wasn't going to let her stop him. Lion bolted forward, every muscle screaming agony... but he streaked across the plains with a speed he never had before.

she ran as fast as she could but she was desperately falling behind. Though she continued till he left her sight and she turned the wrong way and continued, she continued until she was out of earshot of him.
