Carl and Raven stood there watching Shadow and Valenciago for god knows how long. Valenciago held his head perfectly arched and his tail as high as an arabian, prancing and striking out in his excitement. Suddenly he threw his head up and took off galloping around everyone and pigrooting and squealing, jumping everything he could, clearly trying to show off to Shadow

shadow pinned her ears when he got too close to raven and charged him Raven wiggled out of Carls's arms and ran after shadow finally getting close enough that she could jump onto shadows back

Valenciago reared and struck, mid rear, out of frustration and excitement. Carl noticed that Valenciago vould get dangerous if he got more excited and put his hand up in the air, signalling to Valenciago to come in to him, as he had taught the stallion through their liberty training. Valenciago obligingly came in and tossed his hear around, snorting like a dragon. Carl put his bridle on for safety reasons but left the reins as slack as he could so that his dressage partner could still enjoy himself. They then set off, galloping through the woods yelling "Catch me if you can!" They soared over fallen logs and ditches with heads and tail held high and adrenaline pumping.

Carl laughed as they sped along through the forest occasionally having to half halt Valenciago to keep hom from running off entirely. After a good ten to fifteen minutes of galloping Carl signalled to Raven to slow down to a walk

raven slowed down shadow was panting and had a lot of sweat all over her

Carl gave a heaving, sweaty Valentino a big pat on the neck and said, also slightly out of breath, "well that was fun wasn't it!"

she laughed "ready for round two to get back?" before carl could respond she spun shadow around and took off
"Oh that's just so mature! Poor Shadow will be dead before you get back!" And he asked a reluctant Valenciago into a canter and made his way back, trailing after Raven, his ego almost gone but not wanting to make his horse sour, which that moody did quite easily
