Maris comment pulled a laugh from him, and he sort of squeezed her after a moment. "Hey, I do my best," he joked lightly. "The chaos demons in my soul like to have fun," he added with amusement. He knew she was just joking around....and he could joke back. Really, she could tell him to do anything and he'd do it for her. It was scary really...she could treat him as badly as his father, or the women from the tavern, and he'd still come crawling back for the chance for some sort of kind word, or a kiss, or something. He knew she'd never treat him that way, of course, but it was a thought in the back of his mind occasionally.

Mari felt a smile tug at the corners of her mouth, his laugh making her eyes light up. She should have been used to it by now... but those little things still brought her so much joy. She groaned when he squeezed her, and flopped to the side with her hand on her forehead dramatically. "The demons," she sung in amusement, then looked over at him with big eyes. "I suppose this would be the best you could manage... especially trying to control that demon soul of yours," she mused, gently prodding his side. She raised a brow at him after a moment though. "We're all lucky you haven't let those demons out to kill us all yet," she mused, patting his chest with a laugh. "I doubt we'd last very long against the all mighty fun demons." Sage couldn't help but chuckle in response to her comments, humming softly and giving her a mischievous look. "I dunno, I might let them out here and there," he mused. He moved to jump on top of her with a chuckle, pinning her down playfully. "You'd better watch out," he sang, really just joking around. He moved to press his lips against her neck, blowing a raspberry against her skin with a giggle.

Mari cocked her head at his mischievous look, though a grin crossed her face at his next comment. "I dunno, that sounds kinda scary, no?" She mused, though squeaked when he jumped on her. A small laugh escaped her, though shook about a little as she tried to wriggle free. Though, it didn't really seem as though she was trying to get anywhere. Just let out a groan of complaint when he said to watch out, though when he blew a raspberry against her she could only laugh at him, really just amused at it all.

Sage felt his grin widen as he heard her laugh, clearly amused at his antics. He sort of pulled back after a moment, chuckling himself, a dumb grin stretched across his face. "I dunno, was that scary," he teased lightly, moving to peck her lips and flop over next to her again, just happy to mess around with her a little bit. He was acting rather like a kid, but he didn't really care. And if it got a laugh out of Mari, he was more than happy to make a fool out of himself for it.

Mari grinned up at him when she felt him pull back, a little chuckle escaping her. "Very scary," she laughed, welcoming him openly when he pecked her lips. When he flopped down, she sort of moved to rest on his shoulder, flopping an arm around his side so he was sort of stuck there. "You're still just as childish as you were when we met," she observed with an amused chuckle. She wasn't complaining at all... it was nice to just be able to enjoy her time with him. No stress, she didn't have to worry about what he was thinking... well, not most of the time, anyway.

Sage chuckled softly when she spoke up, wrapping his arms around her happily when she moved to curl in again. "I suppose so," he noted lightly. "The kids keep me young," he added with a snicker. "In between making me feel like an old man," he added in a fond but rather amused tone of voice. He still had a wide grin on his face...he loved his family, more than anything, and they certainly did keep him young. He had something he cared about. Something to work hard for. And that something was pretty darn special.

Mari raised a brow at him when he mentioned that the children were keeping him young. She loved those kids more than anything, but she was also incredibly aware that they were probably aging her quicker than she would have liked. The thought amused her, really. She looked up at the man, sort of glancing over some of his scars, though most had faded by then. "You do look younger than when we met, too," she teased softly, glancing up at his head. "Minus a couple of grey hairs," Mari mused. The thought really did amuse her. "Though, I have to admit that they make me feel incredibly old sometimes," she mused in reference to the children.

Sage chuckled softly with a sort of hum and shake of his head. "Oh, they make me feel plenty old," he noted lightly. "You'd never guess it the way I run around with 'em though," he groaned, shaking his head. "Sometimes I wonder where I still get that energy from," he admitted with a sort of laugh, really just finding the whole topic rather amusing. "You think I'll ever go all white like the doctor," he snickered after a moment. It was hard to believe, as dark as his hair was. But it might happen.

Mari chuckled up at him after a moment, sort of sitting up again. "You do run around quite a bit," she mused, gently poking his stomach. "Not as fit as we used to be, hun?" She asked with a bit of a snicker. "If it makes you feel any better, at least you actually run around with them," she hummed. "You're an incredibly good dad," she promised happily. She cocked her head in thought before sort grinning. "Hopefully," she joked lightly to him. "You'd look good all white," she chuckled.
