Sage groaned softly when she slid him paper of his own, as if complain about doing homework ...but he did know reading and writing was an important skill so he took the quill in his hand with a sigh. Liz had started babbling by then, so he tried to go along with what she was telling him, the both of them concentrating after a moment, wearing the exact same look on their faces as they thought.

Elara just nodded at what Liz said, quite unsure what the words were as the girl cleaned up after herself, putting her things away before flopping down on the bed and drifting off. The woman turned back to Sage, starting to teach him just as she would Liz.

Sage had helped Liz clean up a little bit, sitting back in the chair and watching her drift off fondly. He did turn to look back at elara when she started to instruct him as well, focusing on what it was she was teaching him once he knew Liz was asleep and resting happily.

"Wow you....got through that alot quicker than I thought, was thinking maybe two days mininum but, guess this is too easy then." She mused with a soft chuckle, smiling slightly as she started putting everything away.

Sage chuckled softly in response to her comments, a faint blush coloring his cheeks as he offered her a grin. "I've been watching Liz," he admitted. "Or rather, watching you teaching Liz." He shrugged, moving to help put the rest of the things away. "I suppose that's probably helped more than I expected it to," he added lightly, though he kept quiet so as not to wake Liz up.

Elara grinned slightly at the color rising to his cheeks, hand brushing his a time or two (perhaps on purpose this time, perhaps not) as the two cleaned up. She nodded in agreement to his words, agreeing strongly. "Most likely that helped, it'd make sense." The woman noted, leaning against the counter as she turned her gaze to him.

Sage had hummed softly in agreement, a smile lingering on his face as he felt their skin brush as they moved about. He wasn't sure why, but he'd quickly become very close to Elara....and he certainly wasn't upset about it. 'i think I've heard the alphabet enough times to be able to know them all by now," he agreed with a laugh

Elara huffed a small laugh, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Oh my, don't get me started on that song!" She mused, chuckling. "That's all Liz sings now, she'll be playing with Varys and i'll hear her just muttering 'w x y z' and then sing it all over, now it's stuck in my head." The woman chirped, laughing.

Sage grinned over at the woman, laughing alongside as she mentioned the alphabet song. "It's engrained in my mind forever, I think," he agreed, voice laced with fond amusement as he placed the last few bit of papers in the drawer and closed it, moving the lantern from their table over to where they'd get ready for bed, working at combing out his hair. "I hear it from her all the time,* he agreed, throwing a soft look at Liz's sleeping form. "She's a smart kid. I'm sure she'll go further than I ever could," he added softly.

Elara smiled softly, sitting on the edge of the bed as she ran her fingers through her hair, eventually getting it untangled and flattened out, looking somewhat the same to the way it was at the palace. She left it down, something she didn't do often as it was almost always in the way, and also it wouldn't look great if she accidently sliced some off....more I-gave-a-little-kid-scissors, less decent looking. The woman flicked her gaze over to Sage, her gaze lingering on him for a few moments before even realizing what she was doing, flicking her gaze back away.
