Abby tapped his withers and Titan focused on the barrel. When Tyler started counting down, Abby prepared her horse. When they shot down, Titan flew too, coming even with them and digging into the sand, his rider leaning over his neck almost like a jockey. Titan stretched his neck further as his stride lengthened. He started inching on West when he stumbled. He managed to right himself but his head was now at Wests hind. Titan flattened his ears and tried his hardest to catch up.

Tyler leaned farther over West's neck, none of his weight in the saddle. He glanced back to see Titan gaining, and asked his 18 hh stallion to stretch out more. West complied, adding to his speed a little when Titan stumbled. Tyler urged West forward as they were almost at the barrel, and he crossed it first... about a horse length sooner than Titan

As soon as they past the barrel, Abby slowed Titan and practically jumped off. She only had to take one look. Titan had caught himself with his back hoof, making a gash on his front leg, right above his hoof. Abby held his leg up. "Tyler! Can you see if there's any wraps in the tack room?" Abby glanced up at him then back at the leg. She pulled the bottom of her shirt and pressed it against Titans leg. The stallion snorted and flinched but otherwise stood still

Tyler jumped off West while the stallion was practically still running, knowing something was wrong. He stumbled across the ground to regain his balance before glancing at the wound. "Sure." He said quickly, darting off towards the tack room. Tyler searched through his bandage box and grabbed the wraps, jogging quickly back out to hand them to Abby. "IS he okay?" He asked quietly, observing the small scratch

She pulled her shirt off. "Depends on how deep it is..." she wrapped it quickly and gently released his leg. Titan sniffed the wraps. He head butted Abby and let his hood rest on the ground. He didn't put much weight on it though

Tyler nodded, knowing that much but instead starting towards the cabin. He came back out with an extra shirt for Abby, then went to catch West... since he had completely let the stallion go all tacked up and everything. Of course, he was sleeping right near the fence. Tyler grabbed his bridle and slipped a halter on, tugging off the bridle and gently lowering the bit out of his mouth

"Thanks" she mumbled as she walked Titan to his stall. She untacked him then let him go into his stall. He rested his hoof on the soft hay then put some pressure on it. Abby nodded before running to the cabin. She changed her shirt and put on the one that Tyler had handed her earlier. She tried to scrub the blood off of her shirt "crap" she said

Tyler brought West to his stall, putting the stallion in and untacking him. He then went to go check on Abby, sighing slightly as he watched her try to wring the blood out of her shirt. "Ya know the one I gave you was to wear, right?" He asked with a snort, but was ready to do what he could to help

"yeah I have that one on. Im trying to clean my other one" she finally gave up and dropped it in the sink. She sighed and put her hands on the side of the counter and leaned on them. "Why did he get hurt? I was going to surprise you but depending on how bad it is I may not have a choice so I'm going to tell you anyway. I was looking into doing some small races before entering into the American..." she looked down "I really hope he's ok through"

Tyler nodded slightly, tilting his head as Abby went on His face fell as she spoke, his expression growing sympahtetic. "Well, he didn't have splint boots on. To me the wound doesn't look too bad... I'm guessing not to ride for a day or two, then light riding for another 3 days maybe. After that just make sure you put splint boots on. Then again, I'm no doctor." Tyler commented quietly/ "I'm sure he'll be fine, it's just a little sscratch." He reassured Abby
