Sage greeted Silas happily, then setting him down after a moment since he was getting rather too big to go flying into his arms, in his opinion. He'd take the hugs of course, but he was no small kid anymore either. It was a rather amusing thought. He moved to steer the boy, who was now chattering about their day, towards the kitchen where he could smell dinner being put out. It did smell good...and he could admit he was hungry by then. He showed Mari the way in, settling her and then the kids down so she was next to Liz and him, a spot for Mari on his other side. He greeted his wife with a peck on the cheek, helping her spoon out the food, really just happy to show his home and family off to his best friend a little bit.

The woman settler down in the seat not far from the children, and Liz at her side. She sort of studied the child for a moment... she did look a little like her aunt. It was sweet. Seemed a lot quieter than Sages sister had been, mind. She gave a small smile to Mari, hoping it was friendly as she'd intended it to be. (very short, on the run)

(you're all good lol) Sage was happy to settle down and start eating, occasionally nodding a commenting something in response to Silas, who rambled on as usual. He was really only half listening to the boy, but that was also normal. He did try to keep most of his focus away from Mari though, so the woman could eat. It was nice though ....everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, and it was obvious the kids looked up to Anya a little bit, especially Liz. He'd made their adventures into stories.... obviously changed some things because they were kids, but even so they seemed to really like her. And despite not having kids of her own, she seemed to interact with them pretty well. And Mari seemed to have a good time too, which was good. He didn't want her annoyed by having someone in her house or anything.

Much like Silas, Mari had started chatting away as soon as everyone had settled themselves at the table... she could admit she was happy to have a guest that wasn't their family, as lovely as they were. She could also admit it was very strange to have royalty in their house too... she wasn't massively concerned. She knew she and Sage were good friends. She seemed to tense, though soon settled down enough to be comfortable. At least, Mari hoped so. The woman was Sages friend, and she did want her to be comfortable and have a nice time while she was there with them. Soon enough, though, they'd finjished their meal and Mari went to wash up the dirty dishes with the children happily.

Sage enjoyed their time at dinner, and once it was done he helped Mari collect all the plates before shooing the kids off to start getting ready for bed after they helped Mari for a few minutes. He had to promise Liz that they'd have Anya over again soon, but he figured no one would really mind that happening. Once that was done, he moved back to Anya so as not to leave her standing there awkwardly. Soon enough they wandered out of the house and down towards the barns. He'd finished building another one built a few months ago, and while there were only a few horses in it so far, he was proud of it all, and was eager to fill it again with the newest batch of foals as they came in the spring. That was a bit away though, for now, however he knew Anya liked the horses, so that's sort of just where they ended up.

Anya sat happily though the dinner, admittedly a bit quiet but happy to listen in the the children's babbling. Mari was nice enough... she'd hadn't spoken much to the woman, but she didn't know she wasn't her biggest fan. Soon though, they'd all finished, and Sage had wandered off to put the kids to bed while Mari washed up. She didn't want to just wander aimlessly, so stayed seated at the table for a little while before giving a small smile when Sage reappeared. They soon found themselves in the barn though, and she couldn't help the little smile across her face. "You've done a good job out here Sage," she mused softly, really just in reference to... it all, really.

Sage had wandered alongside Anya as they moved to the barns, greeting the horses happily as they wandered past them. "We've all put a lot of work into this place," he murmured softly, a fond smile growing on his face as he thought about his family. How much they'd all put into their home. "I really can't take all the credit," he added with a sort of shrug, patting the horse that they'd gone past, a brown colt around three years old.

The woman gave a small chcuhle before shaking her head softly. "Well, you've all done a good job," she mused. In truth, it was nice to see him settled. He did seem settled, too... she'd never really seen that from him. A soft breath escaped her as she looked around, a small smile crossing her face. He had a nice life now. She looked at the young horses with a small smile... the fact he had a barn full of them now amused her more than anything. But, it was getting late now.. and she did need to get back. "Thank you for having me tonight, Sage," she mused softly. "Your family is lovely," she hummed.

Sage offered the girl a sort of hum and smile in response to her comments. "Well I'm glad you enjoyed it," he mused lightly, really just glad the night had gone so well. It was nice. They'd all had fun, and he certainly was glad about it all. He nodded happily in response to her next comment, sort of chuckling softly and clapping her on the shoulder lightly. "They're amazing," he murmured in a fond agreement. Then, "Let's get you home, yeah," he mused gently, sort of wandering back down towards the carriage, whistling for chaos, who came trotting along happily after a moment or so. He greeted the horse with a grin before hitching him up to the wagon and helping Mari on. Soon enough, Chaos's brisk pace had them back at the castle, and sage helped Mari down and out of the carriage, a smile still lingering on his face. "Take care of yourself, yea," he mused lightly. "I'll be around soon," he added with a chirp.

The woman emailed and nodded in agreement before letting out a soft breath of air. He was lucky... they all were, to have eachother. A comfortable house, nice family... it seemed so perfect. She followed him along, a little smile across her face when he helped her in and out of the carriage. When the arrived, she nodded and offered him a small smile. "Yeah," she murmured lightly. "You too, hm?" She hummed to him.
