Ajax let his head drop back so he could stare at the ceiling with a small, drawn out groan. "Meeerrrccyyy. I don't like it when you are perplexing. My brain can't keep up..." He sighed dramatically, turning his head to look at her because of her last comment. Not saying anything for a very very long time, he weighed his options, and practically came up with only two things to weigh. His feather, the fact he didn't want another dog, and Mercy's blue whale... she wanted a dog. A puppy, to be exact. And she was rather stubborn. And persistant. And wouldn't give up. And he might die of annoyance if he DIDN'T. "Whatever you say, dear." He finally snorted, closing his eyes and imagining the doom he just sealed himself in and threw the key away to.

"Aw, I'm sorry. I'll try and slow down a little for you then." Mercy teased, gently running her fingers through Ajax's thick hair. She chuckled lightly when he finally spoke, closing her eyes and setting her head against his neck. "Thank youuuuu." She grinned, letting out a small breath.

"How considerate." Ajax snorted, sinking into the fact he just relented to getting another dog. "You're welcooooome. But I get to pick the breed. How about a Labrador Retriever? I've always wanted a lab, but somehow I ended up with... that thing." He chuckled a little, opening his eyes to look at Rex, who was laying on the floor, looking offended.

"I try." Mercy teased, nodding eagerly at his answer. "Yes. I would like that just fine." She chuckled, glancing over at Rex and grinning. "That thing? You mean the most handsomest dog that ever lived?" She grinned, her voice going up three octaves when she spoke and she rolled out of Ajax's lap to sit on the edge of the couch. She stretched her arms out to Rex, making the classic kiss-noise to get him to come to her.

Ajax let out a dry laugh. "You try hard." He teased, chuckling. He was glad she at LEAST agreed upon a lab- he would've said golden retriever, but they were really clingy. Beautifully clingy. Like Mercy. So he didn't need another one. "The most what?" He asked with a snort, letting out a long, loud sigh of relief when the weight was lifted. "My oh my, I feel free to move again." Ajax said dreamily, sarcasm thick in his voice, rolling his eyes. As Mercy kissed to Rex the giant St. Bernard let out a woof and lifted his head, then his front legs, and finally his haunches, pdding over and plopping his head in her lap to stare up at her with adoring eyes.

Mercy definitely has that golden retriever mindset))

Mercy gave Ajax a look over her shoulder. "The most handosmest dog. Do you need your ears cleaned out?" She said sarcastically, ignoring the tease in his voice. At his next words, she let out an offended grumbke. "I don't weight that much, you bum." She huffed, swatting at him without looking away from Rex. She grinned as she watched the process that involved Rex standing and walking five feet, setting a hand on either of his cheeks and rubbing his ears. "He's just so sweet. Are you a good boy, Rex? Yes, yes you are a good boy. A very good boy." She purred.

"No, I heard you juuust fiiine." Ajax rolled his eyes, leaning forward a little and running his hand through his hair with another sigh. "Do too...." He whispered under his breath, grinning a little. As Mercy pet Rex the dog slowly started wagging his long tail, thumping it against the wall. Rex licked Mercy's cheek with a happy whine, climbing halfway into her lap and nuzzling her ear with his nose. "I think he agrees." Ajax laughed a little, not being able to help being amused by the dog's reaction.

"I heard that, future husband. That's not nice." Mercy huffed, ignoring him to focus on ruffling Rex's fur. She grinned at the slight thwacking sound that occured every few seconds, leaning down to let Rex lock her cheek with a giggle. She let out a slight yelp as he clambered almost into her lap, still giggling at his antics. "I think so too." She snorted, curling her arms around the dog and burying her face in his neck fur. "He doesn't complain about cuddling me." She huffed, the words slightly muffled by Rex.

"Future husband is quite a mouthful. Why not just Ajax?" Ajax joked, smiling at her huff. He lifted his eyebrows slightly at the two, shaking his head a little. "You two are crazy." He chuckled, bringing up his leg to rest on his knee as he watched Rex have the time of his life. Rex, at this point, looked absolutely overjoyed. The topping 200 pound dog was trying to lay in Mercy's lap, his tail quickly wagging back and forth. Rex let out a small woof and lifted a paw to place in Mercy's hand. Ajax rolled his eyes at this. "He just wants to flatter you." He scoffed.

"Because future husband sounds more sweet." Mercy said lightly, rolling her eyes at him. "No. We have a connection. You could never understand." She said sarcastically, a mockingly dramatic tone. She was giggling a little hysterically as Rex tried to get in her lap, scooching back on the couch in an attempt to give him room. She took his paw gently, setting it lightly beside her and glaring at Ajax. "Its working. Leave my poor baby alone."
