"Yeah. Yeah, I do." She said, quietly, grabbing his arm gently and looking up and down for a moment. She intertwined her fingers with his and squeezed his hand. "Are you good to walk? Do you need help?"

He narrowed his eyes, glancing around to see where the fire was from, jerking back when she touched his arm. He pulled away and nonchalantly stood up and walked off, stumbling a little to stay upright on the rubble. "Yes I can. Now where is the fire?"

She blinked, indescribable hurt crossing her features for a moment. She blinked back to a bland, emotionless slate and lifted her chin. "I don't know." She said blandly, turning her back to him and walking out of the barn, turning the corner quietly to see where she thought the dragons were. Good news- the dragons weren't there. Bad news-the dragons werent there. The grass was turned to black ash, ember smoldering slowly in some cases, but it seemed all outright cases of fire were gone. In its stead was silence. Absolute, terrifying, blunt, silence.

Ethan glanced at her, doing a mild double-take. His heart wrenched a little but he didn't wanna say anything. He half followed Asta. Shit. He huffed and backed up slightly, scrambling over the rubble and to the barn door closest to the school. He peered out, more black and burnt grass. And no dragons. He stepped out and looked around. "Rome!" He called, he wasn't sure if she was in her cabin or what. She popped out with mild concern on her face from her cabin and looked at him. R "What happened?" She asked as she walked out and right at him.

She stood where she was and blinked, thinking. Then she took off running, her hair flying back wildly, panic obvious with every movement. She sprinted to the school, which was empty. She skidded to a stop and laid a palm on the bricks. She ran up to Ethan and Rome. "Where? Where did the evacuees go?" She said it a bit more rudely than she usually spoke to Rome like, and something in the back of her mind TOTALLY wasnt doing it because Ethan had badmouthed her blood earlier. Pshh. No. Mm... maybe.

Ethan shook his head. "I don't know, something is wrong with the dragons." He looked distraught. Rome grabbed his arm, Ethan yanked it away with an offended expressing, but Rome grabbed it again so he let her. R "Did you hit it or something? What the hell-" Ethan shook his head. "A wall landed on me. And a roof." Rome looked at him with some kind of disheveled and horrified expression. Asta saved him a little. R "Calm down, they're probably in the basement." She said, pushing past her into the school with Ethan at her tail. She turned a corner, down a hall, another corner, then a hall, then a corner which led to the staircase. She walked down the stairs and Ethan skipped one on his way down, everyone seemed to be there.

She went down the stairs two at a time, biting back the urge to call for her siblings. There were alot of people. So. Many. People. The basement was absolutely enormous, looking like it couldve spanned a very, very large distance. She didnt take the time to calculate how large, because she was weaving her way through the crowd of people determinedly. After the panic started to bloom and spread, she started running (as much as she could with such a crowded place) straight toward her five favorite faces in the world. She stopped in front of them and counted about 20 times before sighing and pulling Keith aside and having a quick, hushed conversation with him. Afterward, she walked back to the group and flashed a reassuring smile, picking up Rean and holding him on her hip, mom style. She started talking with them and explaining what had happened. And not once had Asta looked back at Ethan.

He'd been in the basement neumerous times and was unfazed by the length. He watched Asta interact with her siblings like nothing had happened, faintly hearing her voice. He turned to Rome with a mildly upsettled expression, like a child, she looked at him with confusion. He hopped up the staircase again and wandering back outside, his head tilting, like it'd make him know better. He couldn't feel Zeus, a shiver spun down his spine. He looked at the sky, and the ground, looking at all the blood. He sighed, hoping none of the dragons were seriously injured. His heart skipped a beat at the thought of his beloved dragon stranded, wounded. Feral. He shuddered, walking on and back to the barn, the feeling of being stared down by one of the few things he trusted was mildly scarring. He looked at his arm, sighing.

Her siblings begged to come outside, but she relented against the puppy eyes and pretty pleases, only taking Keefe when she walked up the stairs and out into the darkening sky. Evening was settling over the land, and she paused, sitting down on the ground and shutting her eyes. She put her fingers against her temples, reaching out to Castor. Nothing... Nothing... nothing... and then, suddenly, it felt like a searing hot knife went through her temples, making her yell in agony. Her eyes slammed open and she couldnt quite erase the two words now burned into her vision in red. Keith dropped to his knees beside her and grabbed her hand, but she was already trembling, staring at her brother in panic. K "What? What is it, Asta? Are you okay?!" She blinked up at him. "No, No, nothing is okay. NOTHING!" She rubbed her eyes, shaking her head in disbelief.

Ethan was admiring the shit tonne of damage those scaled wrecking-balls had done on the poor barn when he heard Asta scream. He turned on a heel and ran toward the door he heard it from. He saw Asta collapsed and ran to her and Keith, slowing down as he got close. "What happened?" He knelt down, looking at her with genuine concern. "Are you okay?"
