"Rex is perfect! And so is Binx! But- but imagine a baby puppy. Babies are so cute, especially animals. Don't you want a puppy? Do you not like puppies?" She frowned at him dramatically. "Do you not like puppies?" She asked, her tone mocking offense. "You have to like puppies." She huffed.

Ajax let out An amused laugh at that, looking unbelieving. "Rex is closer to perfect than Binx is." He whispered under his breath, sighing in defeat as she spoke, over and over, about puppies. "Yes puppies are adorable- and yes I like puppies. You have me cornered there." He rolled his eyes at her dramatic look, chuckling. "Maybe a puppy. MAYBE. But it has to be a breed I choose because I don't want any small breed." He finally bent at her insistent stare.

Mercy let out an indignant huff at him for the words under his breath, letting it go to replace it with a grin at his sigh. That sigh meant She was going to get what she wanted. "I always have you cornered." She quipped playfully, smiling up at him. She curled him into a hug as he continued, letting out an excited squeal. "Deal!" She muttered, lifting her head and pressing her lips to his in a gentle kiss.

Ajax knew Mercy was going to be super excited about this... he may never understand female emotion, but he was getting pretty good at predicting it. "Do not." He retorted, although it was somewhat true. As she squealed he groaned in mock pain, covering an ear. "I don't want my eardrums blown out, thank you very much." Ajax snorted, "I never-" He started, but was trapped by the kiss. "I never said yes! Just maybe!"

I'm surprised he hasnt realized that no=yes, maybe=yes, and yes=yes))

"Don't be dramatic." She grinned, giggling as he continued. She peppered light, teasing kisses up his cheek, shaking her head. "I heard yes. I actually heard, 'Yes, of course, why didn't ask sooner? Why don't we go ahead and go get it now'. Are you sure that's not what you said?" She teased.

(That is because he is a man, and they don't realize things like that LOL)

Ajax let out a huff of mock irritation, resigning to glare at her as she giggled her way into wonderland. "How on earth did you hear that?" He inquired with a snort after she was done. "I did NOT say that, and I would never say we could get it now. You have selective hearing, m'dear." Ajax rolled his eyes, shaking his head a little.

"Awe, am I your dear? I like that." Mercy giggled, continuing her playful kisses across his face. "My mom used to say I had selective hearing. Now I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who hears stuff correctly." She grinned. "I think you must've said it wrong then. And I just read your mind, obviously. So really, I'm right."

Ajax opened his mouth, promptly closing it again. He hadn't meant it to come across as not sarcastic, but he also didn't oppose to her teasing... in any case he had no response. "You're just perplexing me now." He sighed a little, turning to kiss her cheek so she would stop being utterly annoying."Riiight. You never hear anything correctly. Ask literally any being on the planet earth." Ajax laughed, narrowing his eyes at her last comment. "I said nothing wrong, and you cannot read my mind. So really, you're wrong." He snorted, looking indignant.

Mercy snickered slightly at his reaction, being the bubbly little creature she was. "I like being perplexing. It keeps you on your toes." She joked, leaning into his kiss happily. "Rude." She scoffed in response to his next comment, laying her head against his shoulder and settling down. "Doesn't matter, because we are getting a puppy." She grinned.
