Regan smiled lightly to him and gave a happy hum. "Yes, well you just said to be nice!" She chirped. She didn't care. It was rather amusing... they literally had a lump of skin in their cabin. He was asleep, and hopefully he wouldn't try anything. For now, anyway. She nodded in agreement to him. Venison. Perfect. She could do a lot with deer, anyway. "Yep, that's fine!" She agreed before following him along happily. She hoped this person they had would end up being friendly... there was nothing wrong with him as of now, however, he might end up, with no thing against Tyler, but like Tyler. She did like the boy, and they got along to... some extent, but he could be... hard to get on with him.... but it was hard for him to get on with her too, she supposed.

Tyler went into the brush with a chuckle, nodding as Regan agreed to Venison and finding a deer trail rather quickly. He got out a couple daggers, creeping a little lower through the bushes and honestly feeling like a predator. Which only made him think of a movie named Predator about an alien that came to earth, which just made him distracted. Tyler dragged his mind back to present day and let his gaze flick into a clearing where a lone buck stood. It was older... good. Tyler drew his arm back and threw a dagger, his aim straight and true, severing the buck's spinal cord and killing it instantly with no pain.

Regan followed him along quietly. She was happy for him to take the lead on this... she was good at hunting, but she didn't like it. And Tyler was really very good at it... nothing he hunted ever went out in pain, and she was glad for that. She padded over to the kill after a few moments and wrapped a small rope to its back legs so they could drag it along easily. "Come on. Let's get back to our sack of bones," she teased to the boy before helping him drag the deer back.

Tyler grabbed the rope and glanced at Regan as she spoke, a small smile coming to his tanned face. He didn't respond, just because he couldn't really think of a great comeback... what Regan said was literally true so there was nothing much else to say. He slung the rope over his shoulder and hauled the deer back that way since it was a little easier, his mind already dreaming about the delicious meat inside.

Regan helped him pull the deer along before smiling softly to him when they got to the house. She paused him and tapped his chest before they got in. "Alright... be nice, Tyler," she warned before letting him get to work in stripping the carcass before getting everything else ready... Jaxon was sat in the chair still, but he was more awake now... he still looked pale and not amazing, but better than he had when he first gotten there. He looked happy... he'd gotten the radio going, and was listening to some old songs that had been recorded. The dogs had curled up next to him, too... it was a bit odd. The both of them and been very nervous of the man, but it was nice to see them settled too. Edited at June 29, 2023 05:27 PM by Belle

Tyler glanced over at Regan as she paused, letting out a small sigh. "I'll do my best." was all he said, gutting the carcass and cutting off the meat and skin the best he could. Tyler glanced inside at where Jax sat on the chair... he looked so at home. -I have never been jealoud before, but how does Regan get along so amazingly with a guy she just met but she can't get along with me?- Tyler wondered in his mind, feeling a little dejected as he cut off the deer meat. "Even my dog has abandoned me." he snorted quietly, taking the bucket of meat inside and plopping it down in the kitchen

Regan smiled thankfully to him before letting him go sort out the meat, then bounced inside, straight to Jaxons aside to pet Millly, who was sat happily on his lap. "You're looking comfy," she noted with a happy hum. "Is there anything you need?" She asked as she looked to the now empty glass. She could get him some more water if he needed it. "I hope you're alright with venison again. It about all we can cook," she mused lightly. Milly by now was at her side, leaning in to scratch against Regans side. She had to admit, the boy looked much better.... still not very well, and very thin, but there was more colour in his cheeks by now. He loooked more alive, and she was thrilled to see it.

Jaxon glanced up as the girl came in, stiffening a little. A couple thoughts ran through his mind, but at Regan's words he relaxed slightly. At least she wasn't mad at him. "No, I think I'm fine for now. Anything sounds good at the moment." Jax answered quietly, watching the dog for a moment before turning his gaze to the giant beast laying at his other side. That must be the boy's dog... Tyler's dog. - Tyler came into the living room and glanced at Jaxon, then Regan. "The meat is ready to cook, anything you need help with?" He asked with a low voice, his dark eyes flitting around the room for a moment before landing on Raptor.

Regan nodded to him lightly. She thought he'd say as much. She'd been eager to eat pretty much anything too, especially when she first met Tyler... she'd been injured, which probably didn't help and awful lot. But he might be injured or something, and he was skin and bone. "You're feeling better, I take it?" She asked witha. Small smile. "You look a little bit more alive," she chuckled softly to him after a moment or two. She grabbed his now empty glass anyway to fill up for him, even if he didn't want it. She looked towards the door when Tyler came in. "No, not particularly. Go get comfy and I'll sort it out. You've been on the go non stop, Tyler," she told him with a small chuckle.

Jaxon took in a shallow breath before nodding as an answer. "The rest has helped." He said simply, glancing at Tyler as the boy walked in. Regan and Tyler's relationship seemed weird... Jaxon couldn't tell if they were brother or sister, or if they liked each other, or if they were just friends, or if they hated each other. It was a little creepy. - Tyler nodded a little at what Regan said, making a small face. "I like to go non-stop." He muttered gruffly, though he didn't look unpleased or unhappy about it. Tyler went to go sit on the extra chair, grabbing a couple pieces of metal on the way and starting to scrub the rust off. He needed something to do... sitting still was not an option
