Rose rolled her eyes playfully, snuggling into Caden's side and sighing. Does he remember the football incident? She wondered, getting up and walking to the balcony. She leaned on the rail, looking out at the city as she had done countless times before

"Oh no.Oh no no no!" He panicked,rushing over to the football room right next door.He opened the closet doors,pushing aside trophies and jerseys,revelaing a safe. "Please still know the code please still know the code PLEASE!Still know the code!" He exclaimed,punching in a code and successfully opening the safe.He let out a sigh of releif and slumped back,relevied.

Rose glanced over at him and rolled her eyes, mentally reminding herself that men have secrets that shouldn't matter to her and to leave them alone. "Another thing." She muttered like she had the night Caden had tried commiting suicide

"False alarm!I thought I forgot the code to the safe,that would've been really bad.If I forgot that code,we probalaly would'nt have the house." He says,slumping down on the bed.

Rose ignored him and just listened to the cars on the road and looked out at the distant lights

"You alright?Usually you just go out there when you're either mad or I did something.What's wrong?" He asks,concern filing in.

"Nothing. Just thinking." She said, hoping he wouldn't stress too badly. "About our future again." She adds quietly

"Mm,gotcha." Caden says,resuming to doom scrolling. "I'll be back.Love you." Caden adds,pulling on a shirt and grabbing a bike helmet.He goes outside and to Trevor's house. "Yo,you ready to get my bike?" Trevor nods and the two head up onto the hill,Caden's bike waiting.Caden dashed forward and grabbed the keys,draping them on his neck.

"Love you too." She said, still lost in thought. "Be safe." She added after he had gone. She watched him peel away, concerned and hopeful he forgot the football accident. "Probably not, though." She said to herself

Trevor and Caden arrived back at the house shortly after.They parked the bikes.Caden waved goodbye and walked inside.He took off the jacket he was wearing and kept the keys on his chain. "You about ready for bed or no?" He asks,standing behind her.
