Mari watched the kids run upstairs, a bit of a smile across her face as she moved to go make some hot chocolate for them for when they came back down. She looked over at Sage as she put the mugs on the side table next to the couch. An amused chuckle escaped her before moving to wrap her arms around his side from the back. She pecked his shoulder before giving a grin. "I actually think I heard your knees creak that time," she mused, pecking his jaw before letting him go and flopping down on the couch, carefully avoiding the little town her husband and son had made.

Sage had moved to wander over into the kitchen, where Mari was making up some hot chocolate, heating the milk up over the oven and the like. When she wrapped her arms around him, he glanced over at her with a grin, though wrinkled his nose in amusement when she started talking. "Ha ha," he snorted lightly, patting her hands lightly plopping down on the end of the couch that was by the kitchen once she released him. "just be glad your body doesn't constantly hurt," he huffed, though it was a bit of an exaggeration. Not entirely, of course, but he could delay with it.

The woman gave a small chuckle to him, sort of swinging her legs up onto his lap. She sort of watched him for a moment before resting her head on her hand. "Oh, Sagey baby, I gave birth to two children. My body always hurts," she mused before pouting at him. "Only difference is that I don't creak when I stand," she mused softly to him. The kids soon can storming downstairs, and she pointed to the table for them to grab their little mugs. She grinned and moved over for them to come and sit down on the couch. It didn't take long for them to finish, so she moved to take their empty mugs and pop them in the kitchen. She wandered over to the couch and plopped back down to give them a hug and kissed them goodnight before telling them to go say goodnight to their dad before they ran off to bed.

Sage chuckled lightly in response to her comment, patting her legs lightly when she swung them up and onto his lap, more than content to just sit there for a while. "Oh, good to know you're aging the same as I am," he mused lightly, resting his head back against the cuahions. He was tired by then....so when the time finally came for the kids to hug him goodnight and run off upstairs, he helped Mari wash and dry the mugs before pecking her cheek. "I'm going upstairs...need any before I pass out on the bed like the creaky old man I am," he asked gently, nodding when she shook her head and getting ready for bed before quickly passing out.

Mari sort of wrinkled her nose at him playfully, though soon settled down on the couch. She shook her head at the questioning, and wished him goodnight before grabbing a book from the side and settling down. Though, she didn't get very far before passing out on the couch. She fully intended on heading up to bed, though she didn't make it that far... especially considering she was passed out on the couch.

Sage had passed out pretty quickly, though when he woke up through the night and noticed she wasn't in the bed with him, he sighed slightly and moved to get up and pad around, looking for her. He chuckled softly when he noticed her curled up on the couch, and moved to scoop her up and nestle her in bed before curling up next to her quietly, doing his best not to wake her. He fell asleep after that quickly again, as he was tired, but he did want to make sure she got to bed.

The woman sort of stayed passed out, not really noticing the movment, but quickly settled down under the covers after a little while, curling up into her own little ball. She was tired, though she wasn't at all sure. She sort of woke up later in the morning than normal, and moved to sit up a little, looking around blearily before flopping back down on bed bed with a heavy breath of air.

Sage had passed out next to her, with an arm around ehr waist, so when she curled up he'd sort of just curled upa round her without a thought in the world. He slept rather well...probably becasue he hadn't slept for very long earlier before the kids had come home, but that was fien with him, he'd been glad to see Edith and make sure everything was all settled with the kids. And let mari rest, too, of course. He was still sound asleep by the time she woke up though, not really doing anything but curling back up into her when she flopped back down on the bed.

The woman sort of passed out again, sound asleep though she'd moved to hold onto the hand that wrapped around her waist. She wasn't sure why she was so tired, but didn't put much thought into it. She couldn't really when she was pretty much passed out. She wasn't sure how she managed to get to bed, but figured her husband must have walked her up. He was so good to her.... she was lucky to have him.

Sage had slept for a while longer before stirring. He'd planned on getting up and getting Mari breakfast in bed, since she seemed tired the night before, but she had a pretty firm grip on his arm that was wrapped around her, so he gave up trying to move after a moment and just curled up again, happy to drift in and out of that half awake half asleep stage until she woke up. He had to admit, he certainly didn't mind not getting up yet. Plus, she obviously wanted him there, so he wasnt going to wake her up trying to move.
