"I'll see you later, baby" He said, kissing her softly and not wanting to let go. He walked out to his car, the Charger roaring to life around him. He drove to his father's mansion across town and recieved his mission. His father had a wierd look in his eye but Kai didn't pay any mind to it.

Three of Mr.Vitelli's snipers hacked the lock to Kai's mansion, walking in and finding Lorelei while staying out of sight. One man motioned toward the back door and the other guy nodded, going to block it while staying hidden. The third man blocked the hall's enterance and the first finally stepped from the shadows, three red dots pointed at Lorelei's head.

Kai easily took down the target and drove home. Kai walked up to the door, key in-hand, before finding it unlocked. His mind spiraled as he pulled out his pistol and silently walked in. Kai saw his father's men's footprints, recognizing the mandatory boots the snipers wore with their uniforms and following the footsteps. Kai froze, looking at the scene. "Don't move, princess" One sniper sneered, stepping closer as Kai prepared to shoot all three

Once done with breakfast, Lorelei curled up into bed, with one of her books. She froze as she heard the man's voice. Slowly, she looked up at him. "Dont hurt me... please... I didn't do anything wrong..." she whispered, tears beginning to drip down her cheeks.

"The big man would like a word with Bonetti's little girl. Stand." One man snapped, Kai jumping into action. Kai shot two guys and they ran out the door, wounded, and got the other guy tackled. "Don't. Fucking. Touch. Her!" He bellowed, a punch accenting every word as two more guys storming in as Kai knocked out the other. He launched toward one with a knife, the man running with a knife now lodged in his side before Kai was tackled by another. He was shot twice in the shoulder, barely missing his heart or neck, as he began fist fighting with the guy. Kai didn't speak, just kept landing blows without mercy until all the men left. He went over to Lorelei and dropped hi gun on the bed from the floor. "Baby, are you alright? Did they hurt you?" He asked, checking her over as blood oozed hown his shoulder with the bullet holes very visible and multiple bruises already blossoming across his face. "Lorelei, are you okay?"

Lorelei hid under the blankets, covering her ears, sobbing. Even by the time the fighting was over, she didn't dare look. She just stayed under the covers trembling and sobbing. She was terrified of blood and bodies, especially when in her own home.

"Baby?" He asked, not realizing where she was for a moment. Once he found her, he sat beside her and gently pulled back the blanket. "I didn't mean to scare you, sweetheart. Are you alright, baby?" He asked, not touching her, just listening to whatever she needed

Lorelei was still trembling, terrified. "I cant live like this Kai..." she sobbed. "I cant live in fear like this anymore..."

Kai tossed his shirt to the side and avoided contact with his bullet wound as he crushed her to his chest and pulled her into his lap. He tugged the blanket around both of them in a sort of cocoon with only their heads and his shoulders out. "Listen, baby, I promised I would always protect you and I will. I have never given up on that promise since the night I swore to you I would. You've been safe nd I've always been careful with literally anything I do. Please, what can I do to help?"

"But I almost wasnt!! People shouldn't be breaking into our house to hunt me down, that's not normal Kai!! I can't live like this anymore, I don't wanna live in fear anymore,"

"Baby, please..." Kai pleaded. "Where do you wanna go? What can I do to fix it?" He asked, frantic now that she was yelling.

"I dont know, but I can't do this!! I'm sorry, but we need to get out of here!! I can't live like this!! You know im terrified of blood and death so why do you think I could ever live like this?!"
