Mercy raised her eyebrows ever so slightly at his unconventional method of making coffee, tilting her head slightly. "It's a little strange, but I'll try anything once." She shrugged, taking a light sip of her sweet 'coffee' and beginning to eat. "And here I was thinking you did it all for me. Darn." She joked, reaching across to take a sip of his drink. She giggled. "Not bad." She nodded lightly, setting the drink back down.

Ajax rolled his eyes a little and turned to face her at her first comment. "Tsk tsk, just because it is strange to you doesn't mean it is strange. When I was still alive all I had was black coffee that kind of tasted like the dirt and cow patties I walked on outside, so after I died and for some reason ended up in Minnesota? I was very happy. They do that, in the very northern parts- north of even Duluth. Those are some nice people." Ajax explained with a grin, chuckling a little at Mercy's comment. "Well, keep thinking I did it all for you. I might've been lying when I said I had to eat and it might've been a joke. Maybe I never ate breakfast before you came along. Maybe I just skipped it because it was a waste of time. Who knows." He pointed those things out with lifted eyebrows, his eyes twinkling. Truthfully? What he just said WAS true. Down south he got up before dawn and didn't have time to eat breakfast- up and at 'em really applies there. 15 minutes didn't pass from the time Ajax was in bed to the time he was on a horse. Now, after he died he had the luxery of eating... but he didn't anyway, because he wasn't used to it. Not until Mercy came along and he seemed to recall it was a nice thing to do for someone to make them breakfast. "I know. That's why I drink it." Ajax winked with a laugh, finishing washing their dishes- all except for their cups- and grabbing his slightly-cooler hot chocolate-coffee mix off the table.

"I know what's strange and what's not. that classifies as strange." Mercy teased, starting to eat happily. She raised her eyebrows as he continued, tilting her head and smiling at him. "You? A liar? I could never imagine that." She joked, but she caught his meaning perfectly well. It warmed her heart to hear him say sweet things like that. She blinked in surprise when he took her dirty plate, launching up after him. "I can wash dishes." She huffed, following him with a pout.

Ajax lifted his eyebrows. "But obviously you like strange, because here I am." He joked with a smile, laughing at her next comment. "Don't think of it as lying. This of it as cunning deception." He teased, chuckling at the thought. As she sprung up to help him, Ajax held out an arm. "Nooooo. You CAN, but you MAY not. It'll be done in 3 SECONDS and you can wait and suffer." He rolled his eyes, scrubbing the slight leftovers off and rubbing it with some soap. He quickly dried both of them and put them on a rack. "See? Done. Now we have the entire day to do whatever you want." Ajax joked.

"Good point. I can't argue with that." Mercy chuckled, shaking her head with a grin at his next words. "I'm pretty sure it's the same thing. One of them just has a positive connotation." She huffed teasingly, letting out a slightly grumbly noise as he held his arm out. "That's not fair. You cooked, so I should clean." She whined mockingly, leaning against his back as he worked. She let out a dramatic sigh as he finished, holding the back of her hand to her forehead and mock-fainting so her back landed against his chest. "It wasn't worth it." She joked.

Ajax smiled smugly, knowing his point was rock solid. "Totally not the same thing." He retorted with a huff, laughing at Mercy's grumbling. "Poor baaaaby... suck it up, buttercup." He teased, lifting his eyebrows at her dramatic faint after he finished. "It wasn't? Okay, well I guess there's a whole cabin to clean. Chop chop." Ajax grinned, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "C'mon Mercy, it really isn't that bad. Cleaning isn't a top priority- I would hope." He said at first, then added the last part eith a slight crease of his brow.

"I'm your poor baby now, so I'll whine as much as I want." Mercy muttered stubbornly, tilting her head back to look up at him. "How about... no. My sudden urge to clean has just gone away." She said lightly, waving her hand dismissively at him and leaning into his kiss slightly. She turned around as he continued, smiling gently smoothing out the crease in his brow with her index finger. "It's not. I just want to do as much for you as you do for me." She shrugged, lifting onto her toes so she could kiss him.

Ajax lifted an eyebrow. "Ohhh, so THAT'S how it works, is it?" He asked sarcastically, smiling with victory as she said her cleaning urge had left. MOST people would back down at the challenge to clean a whole house, so he was glad for that one thing she classified as most people. "I can understand that, but you do realize I kind of fell asleep on the Startline, right? You've done WAY more for me than I've ever done for you. I mean, all the times you saved my life, all the times you healed me after saving my life, all the times you didn't leave me even when I was being difficult and stubborn, etc etc etc. You probably spent more energy and time healing me then doctors spent healing 30 patients." He pointed out, counting on his finger until he ran out of fingers. Leaning down into the kiss, Ajax couldn't help but need to say one thing. "I think we need to get you a stepstool..." He mumbled as he pulled away with a small snicker.

"That's exactly how it works." Mercy nodded smugly, letting out a slight laugh at his victorious smile. She rolled her eyes as he started rattling things off, leaning against his chest and smiling. "...more like 50." She teased, enjoying the small kiss until he pulled away. She let out an offended breath and glared up at him. "Or, you could pick me up. It's not like you could carry at least twice my weight or anything like that." She joked, pressing a light kiss to his jaw- which she still had to get on her toes for.

Ajax shook his had slowly, indicating he didn't believe her one bit.. but without words, so she couldn't retort. "Okay okay, don't let your head explode because it inflated too much." He snorted at her second comment, mock glaring back at her little glare. At her words he rolled his eyes, crossing his arms. "Like I don't already haul around enough flesh." He huffed right back, scooping her up with a daring grin. "So you see you don't want to get picked up by me because I can drop you literally anywhere- the sea, a random mountain, a random valley... because you can't get away." He teased, dropping her on the couch with a laugh.
