The woman gave a little nod to him before moving to peck his cheek. "Babe you've always been to crippled to run after the kids," she teased softly to him. "And I didn't know you then so I'm going to imagine you as an eighteen year old staggering around," she giggled to him. She wandered into the house happily and moved to get the bath on before going to make some little snacks for them once everything was all finished. She turned the tap off before looking over at her husband with a grin. "All sorted," she chirped lightly to him.

Sage had rolled his eyes in response to her comment. "I don't know about that, I ran around with Lizzie just fine," he snorted lightly. By that, he meant his sister Lizzie, not their daughter. Mari had been good about figuring out which he was talking about in the past though, so he wasn't too worried about it. She'd get it. Of course, when she mentioned him at 18, he just snorted. "At least you find me entertaining," he grumbled, obviously not upset at all. When she'd moved to grab him he'd hummed lightly and just grabbed a shirt off the floor that smelled clean enough before wandering into the bathroom, pecking her lips lightly in the way in.

The woman gave a small chuckle. "Oh, you were young then," she mused lightly to him. "You don't run around any more," Mari chuckled lightly to him before moving to pat his back when he wandered in. She gave him a grin before going to get changed, then plopping down in bed while she waited for him, reading a book as she normally would.

Sage had snorted lightly in response to her comment, giving her a grin. "What, you mean to tell me I'm not still capable of running around," he asked with a huff. Though, it was mroe of a playfully amused one than anything. He'd slipped into the bathroom by then and had sunk into the water happily, relaxing in there for maybe half an hour or so before rejoining Mari, getting dried and dressed and then crawling into the bed to cuddle up with her happily.

The woman settled for a long while before sort of giving a small smile when he can back in, and opened her arms for him to come in. "See? You get cuddles when you bathe," she mused lightly to him, giving him a little bit of a squeeze. She was just teasing him, and he knew as much. She looked over at him before sort of running a hand up and down his back. It was nice... the quiet. They didn't have to make dinner, wash up, or put the kids to bed. They didn't have to run around to get things done, they could actually just relax.

Sage simply laughed in resposne to her comment, nodding lightly. "I suppose so," he chirped, nestling with a grin. He knew she was playing, and he didn't mind. It was just nice to simply...be here, with her, all comfortable in snuggly. "We definitely have to do this mroe fotne," he hummed tiredly, starting to get a little bit sleepy. But it was nice to just lay ehre and relax for a bit....so he didn't want to fall asleep quite yet. He'd had a good day, and so had Mari, and it was all so lovely.

The woman gave a s chuckle to him before nodding gently, "yeah, I know," she hummed softly to him before moving to peck the top of his head as her hands ran up and down his back. "You're better now, so we can," she promised to him with a light smile spread across her face.

Sage had hummed lightly in response to her comment, tucking his nose into her neck with comfortable sigh. "Good," he hummed tiredly. "This is nice,* he added, a sort of soft smile plastered on his face. He was tired by then ...half asleep really, so he hoped he made sense while talking. This was a long day....he hadn't gone out or done anything even close to this in a while. But he'd enjoyed it, so so much. So, by the time he did drift off, he was quite happy with it all.

Mari felt a little smile cross her face when she saw him settling down, then moved to peck his head. "Yeah," she mused, not commenting on the fact that was exactly what he'd just said. She just played with his hair and messed around with his back until she felt him relax. She sighed and moved to settle down, a little smile across her face as she passed out. She was tired out and in truth she just wanted to relax with her husband. She woke up early the next morning, still curled around her husband happily. She smiled and buried her nose into his hair, drifting back off quietly.

Sage had fallen asleep somewhat quickly, though was more than happy to sleep in anyway. He woke around nine or so in the morning, and when he groggily noted that Mari was still there with him, he simply curled around her tighter with a comfortable huff of air and drifted off again. The kids weren't there....so they could sleep in as long as they wanted to. Which he certainly appreciated.
