Sage nodded, completely agreeing with her. "That's probably the best option," he agreed. He moved to scoop a now very tired Liz up and dprop her on his hip, walking alongside Elara happily.

She nodded, laughing when she saw Liz now fast asleep on her dad's hip. "Besides, we gotta get Ms. Thing back, looks like she's pretty tired if you asked me." Elara mused, Varys staying at her side.

Sage hummed softly with a nod, glancing over at where Liz was sleeping. "She tuckered herself out," he noted with a chuckle. "I'm just glad she had a fun time out," he added softly. They didn't get the chance very often, after all.

She smiled warmly, the quiet between them turning from comfy to awkward. Elara cleared her throat, glancing from him back to the ground in front of her. "Sage am I. . . ever a burden to you two? I mean, since I can't go anywhere really---you know what, forget it. I don't know why I asked that," The woman muttered, running a hand down her face before dropping it back down to her side, avoiding eye contact with him.

Sage frowned slightly when she spoke up, pausing for a moment, a little surprised at her comment. He moved to stop in front of her, reaching to place a hand on her shoulder. "Elara. Look at me," he noted gently. "You're not a burden. You probably saved my life, Liz loves you like her own family. I enjoy our time together," he noted gently, meeting her gaze steadily. "Don't ever think you're a problem," he added.

Elara stopped when he did, flicking her gaze to where he was, having not seen him cross in front of her before she felt a steady warmth at her shoulder. She looked up at him, meeting his gaze as she listened to his words. She especially heard him when he said he enjoyed their time together, smiling softly at his words.

Sage felt his shoulders relax when she smiled, nodding along. "Good," he noted, glad she was realizing she wasn't a problem. "Let's go home then," he mused gently.

Elara nodded, taking her spot back beside him, calling Varys over from whatever he was doing, the wolf settling beside her. She glanced back at Sage, flicking her gaze back forward as she was glad he didn't think she was a burden or anything as such.

Sage had kept walking, lingering around Elara until they got back to the cabin. Then he moved to slip inside the cain, untangling Liz from where she was clinging to him, settling her down on the bed and tucking her in. He lingered there for a moment, just watching her for a few moments before slipping back outside.

Elara slipped inside momentarily, putting her goods up before pulling off her weapons, setting them all on the table. Nine in total. She walked back outside, a bitter breeze blowing through the trees, blowing her hair back lightly as she sat down between the two pines overlooking a lake, the sun already starting to set as she sat on the dry ground, noting it'd probably be snowed on here in a few weeks. She propped herself up on her palms, leaning back slightly as she did so. The woman's mind kept wondering back to Sage, his hand steady on her shoulder, telling her he rather enjoyed their time together. -Gods, if I could admit everything without ruining us that'd be great, but you'd probably say i'm just a friend and things would be awkward from then on out, even the palace would be better than that.- (just got such a good idea but idk if we're far enough along with them bonding yet lol)
