The woman sort of pouted at his next comment. "I dunno. No harm in trying, I suppose," she giggled as she started sorting all his paints for him. She then sort of furrowed her brows at his next comment. "I wonder how he's doing," she murmured gently before looking back over at her husband for a brief second. She had forgotten that he'd had another child... it was strange. She hoped he'd ended up somewhere nice, though. They probably could have been a lovely little family by now. She then pouted at him. "Well, as long as you don't mind my very presence, I suppose," she teased him lightly.

Sage chuckled lightly in response to her comment, grabbing all the brushes and colors he needed before setting them on his cart and moving to work at the painting happily. He paused when she mentioned his other baby, before shrugging and going back to work. "I'm sure the doctor found a good place for him," he murmured before giving Mari an amused look in response to her next comment. "Oh, I can only stand your voice here and there. You'll have to be invited in, you know," he teased her lightly, as both of them knew full well he'd never mind her presence.

The woman gave a light smile and moved to peck the top of his head before going back to sorting his paints out. "He'd be a little younger than Liz now," she hummed in thought. He'd be somewhere nice, though, she knew that. She couldn't feel bad about it, though... it had been the best decision for their family at that time," she hummed lightly. She sort of rolled her eyes at him. "Oh, I see. I'll be quiet from now on then," she chuckled lightly.

Sage had hummed softly in response to her comment and nodded. "He'd be almost two by now if imagine, depending on when they set his birthday," he mused with another shrug. "I never asked for his name....I'm not sure I want to know. Makes it all seem too real for me by now I suppose," he added before chuckling when Mari joked about staying quiet. "As busy as you need to be, I don't know you could manage that," he teased her gently, scooting away from the painting to glare at it, examining every detail as he tried to decide if he was done or not.

The woman gave a short nod to him before shugging. "Yeah. Two or three now," she hummed in thought before glancing back at him. "I'd start feeling bad if we knew any more about him," she added gently before finishing her organisation. She then sent a playful glare at him. "You mean that you couldn't manage not hearing my voice, yeah?" She teased him gently before wandering up behind him and peering at the painting. She pecked his cheek and patted the underside of his chin with a smile. "It looks wonderful babe," she promised him softly.

Sage had hummed in agreement when she mentioned she'd feel bad if they'd have learned more about him. "The doctor got him to the best home for him," he said simply, rather distracted by the painting by then, brows furrowed as he glared at it, as if trying to convince it to behave. Though, at Maris comment, he moved to lean against her with a huff of air. "I dunno," he grumbled, crossing his arms and then wincing and lowering them again. "I feel like somethings missing," he grumbled.

The woman nodded in agreement. That kid would be well cared for, and was probably better off than he would have been with them anyway. She sort of groaned when he said he wasn't sure. "I think it looks pretty good hun," she chuckled and wrapped an arm around him when he leaned against her. "I'm sure that you'll figure it out," she mused lightly to him before pecking his head lightly. "As far as I can tell I'd be pretty happy with it," she added, though her artistic eye wasn't as good as Sages, and they both very well knew that.

Sage had flopped back into her embrace with a sort of sigh, looking up at her for a moment, humming lightly as he set his brushes down. "I might come back to it later and decide if I want to change anything," he mused after a moment. Though, at her peck and next comment, he chuckled lightly and grinned up at her. "I could draw a stick figure and call it Silas and you'd still think it was beautiful," he teased her lightly before patting her hands with a huff of air and closing his eyes, just resting for a moment. "Why don't we work on lunch, yeah," he asked after a moment, peering up at her again.

The woman smiled down at him and gave a big grin. "That's a good plan. And yeah, if you drew a stick man called Silas I'd agree that it was the most gorgeous peice of art to have ever existed," she mused lightly to him before moving to peck his cheek happily. "Lunch it is," she mused before patting his shoulders and offering him her hand. "What are you wanting?"

Sage chuckled lightly in response to her comment and nodded happily when she mentioned she would agree his stick figure would be beautiful. "Maybe that'll be your anniversery present then," he noted with a chuckle, knowing it was coming up in the next few days, and he already had something made up for her. He sort of hummed in thought when she mentioned lunch, and huffed out a breath after a moment. "Salad," he mused with a shrug. Her chicken salad was always his favorite...she knew that too, so he figured it was quick, and easy, so why not.
