Ajax snickered as Mercy almost choked on her food. "Hey, don't die." He instructed with a grin, elbowing Goose who was on his other side. +++ Goose groaned and covered his face with his hands. "I swear they hated me AND my brother! I was Burt and he was Brock! But my sister, noooo, she was LILY." He exclaimed with a huff. "And I didn't CHOOSE to name myself Goose. When you are turned into a demon they give you code names. And of course Mr. John over there got Rooster and Ajax got BULLDOG!" Goose wailed, but he soon focused on eating. +++ As the cat jumped into his lap Ajax's face twitched slightly, but he didn't want Goose to know he didn't entirely appreciate the close contact with Binx. So, after they were all finished eating, he found an excuse to stand, gently putting Binx on the floor. "Well, supper was great but sorry Goose and Rooster, I have some big plans." Ajax announced. +++ Goose stood in surprise, then rolled his eyes. "Big plans as in sleep?" He snorted, but he needed to get home anyway. +++ After Goose and Rooster left, Ajax cleaned the dishes. After THAT was done, he gestured for Mercy to follow him. "C'mon, we can still catch the sunset." He said, walking out and down the path to the lake. The sun was in a perfect semi-circle over the water and glinting off the smooth surface. Everything was perfect and beautiful. Ajax shifted slightly before taking Mercy's hand. "I knew you were the most amazing person in the world since the day you first saved me. The first time, anyway." He paused and slowly started going down on one knee. "I love you so much. Mercy, will you marry me?" Ajax asked softly, pulling out a ring box. It was smooth wood, perfectly carved, and painted blue and white, with an aquamarine gemstone in the middle.

"Working on it." Mercy chimed sarcastically, chuckling slightly at his reaction, or forced lack of it, to Binx. "Poor Goose. Such a hard knock life." She mocked, raising her eyebrows at Ajax's announcement. "You do? This is the first I've heard of it." She said playfully, smiling at how gently he displaced Binx. She tilted her head at him suspiciously as he led her out to the lake. "What are these big plans I've heard so much about?" She teased, staying silent as the beauty overtook her. She blinked in surprise as he took her hand, but she interlocked their fingers and gave his hand a squeeze. She tilted her head at him as he spoke, facing him and smiling softly. "Ajax, that's really..." Her sentence faded out as she realize dhe began to get down on one knee. Her free hand flew to her mouth to cover the noise of surprise that came from her as she stared down at him. He had barely gotten the words out when she was nodding, throwing her words out. "Yes, yes. Yes. I do. I dunno, however- whatever I'm supposed to say-" She grinned breathlessly, dropping to her knees and throwing her arms around him so she could tug him into a deep kiss. Her hands were settled on either side of his face, the ring forgotten for a few moments.

(Ajax, giving a beautiful touching speech about love. Mercy: I DUNNO. XD) +++ Ajax was about as scared as he'd ever been in his lifetime. One day, long ago, he had done the same thing with someone he thought he loved. But that ended terribly. He knew Mercy wouldn't do anything like that, but he couldn't help the underlying fear she would say no. But, when she started answering hurriedly, everything seemed to whoosh away and a wide grin came onto his face. Ajax, making sure not to drop the thing he had spent days making, stood up and spun around with Mercy in his arms. +SHE SAID YES OF COURSE SHE SAID YES BUT SHE STILL SAID IT+ He thought joyously. Kissing her with his strong arms wrapped around her, Ajax was 100 percent sure it couldn't get any better than this. "Thank you... thank you so much. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me." He pulled away a little to speak, his dark blue eyes shining in the rising moonlight. +++ (Hey! So I just bred the cutest little filly and it reminded me so much of Mercy! Take a look at this girl and scroll down to see the remarks <3 Edited at January 22, 2024 06:41 PM by Wild West Warmbloods

Ajax: *pouring his heart and soul out* Mercy: "uh uh uh uh I dunno, yes?" *brain malfunction*)) Mercy let out an overjoyed laugh as he picked her up, wrapping her legs around his waist for a few moments. She unwrapped them when he set her back down, holding him tightly and fighting not to break their kiss with a laugh. She was breathless when he spoke, and she shook her head at his words. "No, thank you. This is... it's so magical. I love you." She uttered quickly, grinning up at him. "Can I have my ring now, please?" She asked playfully, offering him her hand. ((Awee! Thanks so much, she so cute! I definitely agree that she seems similiar to Mercy. You're one of my favorite roleplay partners too! <3)) Edited at January 22, 2024 06:50 PM by Widow Valley Farms

(XDDDD. Best moment in the RP yet!) +++ Ajax grinned at Mercy's obvous happiness, so, so, so thankful that was how it happened. "Magical was what I was going for, so yay." He laughed, shaking his head slightly at her question. Still the same old Mercy. "No, never again. You almost made me drop it! I spend days carving that wood!" He teased, taking out the box and opening it again. It truly was his finest art he had ever carved- usually he carved bigger things. The ring was smooth, painted a light blue with intricate tooling in the shape of flowers painted white. The gemstone in the middle was a little deeper blue, aquamarine... it was hard to find. "M'lady." He joked a little, slipping the ring onto her finger. "I think it'll match your usual color schemes." Ajax grinned, looking as happy as he ever had been. In his whole life. And whole second life. And probably happier than he ever would be again... but that might change now that he knew he'd be with Mercy for a long, long time.

"Yay!" Mercy quipped playfully, shifting excitedly as she waited to see her ring in depth. She fake-pouted at him for his comment, huffing. "I got excited." She muttered begrudgingly, a smile lighting up her face as she looked at the ring. Her breath caught quietly in her throat and she brushed impatiently at the happy tears forming her eyes. She held her hand out to him, trembling slightly as he put the ring on her finger. She let out a purely excited giggle; grinning at him. "Thank you, kind sir. How very considerate of you." She joked, promptly hopping into his arms and curling him back into another embrace.

Ajax smiled at her pouting comment, but he was even more pleased by the way her eyes lit up as she saw it. "Hey, don't cry. It isn't that terrible, is it?" he teased lightly, wrapping his arms around Mercy and letting out a sigh of happiness. "I'm glad you like it." he murmured, breathing in the scent of her hair. "Let's go back to the cabin before you fall over as the shock catches up." Ajax joked a little, pulling away just enough to start walking back. Honestly, he had not been prepared at all for this- but he knew, after Mercy said the word *marry*, that he had to do it sooner rather than later- or he might chicken out altogether. The thought still haunted him, so he had made the quick decision to ask Mercy and just pray she said yes.

"Could be worse." Mercy teased softly, smiling as his arms wrapped around her. There was nothing quite like the feeling of being held by him. "I don't like it. I love it. I adore it." She corrected, smiling perpetually. "Whatever you say. Hey, how do you feel about me being the soon-to-be Mrs. Ripp?" She asked teasingly, keeping herself close at his side as they began to make their way back toward the cabin.

Ajax's eyes twinkled at this, but at her second comment he just smiled. "Well then, so sorry, I'm glad you adore it." He chuckled, his eyebrows lifting at the question. Man, he hadn't thought about that. No more Davis... now she was going to be... he suddenly burst out laughing. "Mrs. Ripp. That'll be hilarious." Ajax joked, opening the door to the cabin for her. "I think it'll be great. Astoria Ripp, the new best name on earth." He grinned as he said it, feeling elated and tired at the same time. It was like, 10 PM and he liked his beauty sleep. However, he was too happy to care.

"Apology accepted." Mercy teased, smiling at his reaction. "Mrs. Ripp certainly has a ring to it." She giggled, walking lightly through the door before him and waiting for him to walk in. "You know it. Astoria Ripp, Life-Saver, Angel, Miracle Worker, and wife of Ajax." She joked. "I should have a business card that says that."
