Zephyr nodded- yeah, he'd better be getting home soon too. "Sounds good. Buuut correction, you'll try to teach me. Don't worry, I'll go into the lesson with an open mind." He joked, then moved the slightest bit closer to readjust her hand a little bit. "There. Now look at the basket, and envision the ball flying straight through it."

Sophia nodded slowly. "Ok" she threw it then closed her eyes. She didn't see if it made it in or not. She peeked out of one eye as it hit the ground. "Did I do it..?"

Zephyr watched with anticipation. As she opened her eyes he faked a sad face. "Naw..." He paused. "How could you think you didn't do it! All net! Great job!" He grinned widely.

"So I did it!?" Sophia jumped up and threw her arms around Zephyrs neck. For a second she was smiling, then she let go and stepped back, her hands behind her back. "Sorry..." she gulped. "I- I think I need to go now..."

"Yeah you did-" Zephyr started to grin, but he was cut off with a look of surprise as Sophia got really really close. Even with Lydia he never got too close- not much closer than a hug. So this was shocking. As she stepped back he kind of stood there limp for a couple seconds. "I'd better get home too... I- well, that was a really good shot. See you later." He said a bit quieter, turning and heading off towards the exit.

"Sorry... i... I wasn't thinking... " Sophia turned, grabbed her bags and practically ran to her car. Her face was covered in a thick blush. "Why did I do that!" She yelled at herself as she drove away.

Zephyr had the urge to answer her mumble but he didn't, as she had already run off. He winced. Well THAT was a great way to start a friendship. At least... he thought that was what... uhh... why exactly had she said yes? Did she even want to be friends with him or did she just want to...? His thoughts trailed off. No. She wouldn't do that. He got in his truck and drove home, determined not to think about it again. Plus she promised to attempt to teach him to draw at lunch so if she tried to avoid him she couldn't do it for that long. Zeph got home and fell asleep promptly. The next day he awoke and looked in the mirror as usual- his wound had reduced even more- the blue and black had almost completely disappeared and the wound looked much more like a scar. He smiled faintly before pulling on his normal boot cut jeans, except this time dark blue, and a black t-shirt with the symbol of the 1977 Firebird across it. He tried to tame his wild hair before driving to school, going first to his locker.

Sophia got up, pulled on some leggings and a oversized T shirt before driving to school. She stopped at her locker to grab some books for her next classes. She didn't see Zephyr, so she continued on to her first class. After that she hurried to her second class: art. "Home sweet home" she muttered to herself before Izzy plopped beside her. "Soooo... I saw your car was still there when I came back for my helmet. Who were you hanging out with?" Izzy wiggled her eye brows with a grin. "You know who" Sophia responded with a slight sigh after. Izzy obviously didn't catch it

Zephyr hunched his shoulders slightly as he didn't see Sophia, so he went to his class. Sitting through Math, then sitting through History, he managed to struggle through everything. He then went to lunch, grabbing his stuff before going to sit down at a back table, feeling a tiny bit rejected. He really hoped Sophia showed up, but he didn't know if she would.

Sophia pushed the thoughts of the day before away as she made her way to the lunchroom. She plopped down across from her new student. "Ok. Cheer up mister. We're drawing!" She pulled out her sketchbook and a few pieces of paper. "Ok. A few rules" she started as she pulled out some pencils "don't mess with my sketchbook please. I've made that mistake once with Blake and he ruined the whole thing and some doodles that I was proud of. That book is long gone now. And another thing..." she pulled out a picture "trust the process" she had a photo of a flower. "Now look at these lines. See how they are just a few inches apart? Well if you are good at math then this should be a breeze. Let's say we want this to be about two times the size it is now..." she led him through the basics, showing how to measure using your finger when you don't have a ruler. Then she did some quick shading with lead pencil techniques. "I'm hungry. You keep trying while I get me some food" she got up, quickly went through the line and plopped back down with a slice of pizza. "Yummm" she drew the flower in half the time it took to explain it. "Boom. Lilly of the valley. These are extremely small flowers and really easy to draw. If you mess up, the details are too small to see so you can almost never tell! Perfect beginners flower" she munched on a few bites. "What do you think?"
