Withering Heat followed after West at a canter, seeing that he started before her. She eyed the boulders near the main entrance and lowered her head slightly as if to pay respect to West's parents. She then focused in front of her and cantered closer behind West as they reached the plain.

West stopped when they reached a decent sized rock. "See those trees? They are about a mile away. This rock isn't the starting and ending point. We run to those trees, then run back to here. Whoever passes the rock first wins." He positioned himself, knowing the only chance gen had was his muscle propelling him. He was not a fast horse. "Ready? Set, go!" He bellowed, launching himself forward. He had an incredible head start, maybe even a hundred feet because he took off like a missile out of a rocket launcher, but he only took off fast. He was still going slower than the mare was. He reached the pines before the mare, and his turn was slow and awkward because he was giant. He started galloping back, the mare pulling ahead quickly. By the time he reached the finish line the mare was a hundred feet ahead of him, and his sides were heaving as he walked across the finish line.

She nodded as West pointed out the race length. She steadied herself for the race and began at a canter while she watched West shoot off. She began to gain speed and rounded the lines gracefully while she saw West do it more awkwardly. As they reached the final stretch she gained her full gallop and got in front of West, taking the lead. She galloped past the rocks and let out a happy whinny at her victory. She slowed down and trotted back to West, a happy look on her face. "Well that was fun," she says, breathing a little hard but controlled, "how are you feeling?"

He was panting like he just ran five hundred miles ATM a full gallop. "Perfectly... fine..." he gasped. "Muscles... no... speed... whatsoever"

She giggled some and nuzzled West gently. "Take slow, deep breaths," she says, "also stand straight and try to relaxe. You will catch your breath a whole lot quicker like that." She showed him what he was supposed to do as she said this.

"Ay, I don't stand straight worth a hoot." He managed a grin, his breaths calming. "Anyway I believe you won. I was so close though." West joked, stretching a back leg

"Yep soo close," she said and giggled some, "anyway what's your next idea? You want to just go relax you got something else to show me?"
"How could I have anything else to show you!?" He rolled his eyes, joking. "I've already shown you everything I can even remember! Anyway, I think YOU should think of something to do for a change. Too much thinking makes my brain shut off." He grinned

She giggled and nodded her head some, "Alright, alright." She thought for a moment of what they could do. She didn't want to exhaust West too much or make his wounds ache. "How are your wounds feeling right now," she asks West, deciding that this information should come first.

"Oh come on, you know I'm fine." He huffed. "Now think up something to do." He commanded, trying to keep his face stony but it broke into chuckles after one second
