Name: Sage Gender: Male Age: 20 years Appearance: Long, messy black hair that falls over his eyes (he uses it to kinda hide behind), golden amber eyes, rather short (5'4''), very tan skin since he lives out on the ocean, lots of scars but the most obvious is one down his left cheek, Very slim and light (he lives on a ship so good food is hard to come by), Although he's slim he's still muscular due to running a ship & fighting other pirates (more refined than bulky), gives off an air of power and/or menace, has a low voice that is quiet and scratchy, he wears tattered and thin clothes which are similar to that of the lower class citizens, he wears pretty much the same thing all the time because he lives on a boat and only keeps a few outfits. He has quite a few tattoos and piercings. His ears end in a slightly pointed tip...courtasey of his mother, who was a sea nymph. Personality: Very mistrusting because of his backstory, would generally rather be alone than with people, he comes across as cold/rude/uncaring, he's very blunt and a bit crude, he's very stubborn and an extremely good fighter, when fighting he just jumps in without thinking, very hot-headed with a bad temper, tries not to get too attached to anyone, but once he forms a relationship he is very loyal and protective, he has no qualms about killing anyone/anything Weaknesses: Hot-headedness (he often gets hurt or in trouble because of it), he's very untrusting so he doesn't like to accept help, he gets flashbacks (mostly from his father, who he doesn't get along with) from his past which affects him greatly in a very negative way. He also has a seizure disorder that sometimes gets in the way of day to day functions. Strengths: Hunting/fishing, fighting, very skilled in sneaking around, knows the ocean and his ship very well, very quick and agile, very strong Other: He takes great pride in his ship & crew, and will stop at nothing to protect them. He may be young but he's smart, and he can think on his feet quickly. He's a bit of a daredevil, but only when he has to be, and so far it has proved to be a good thing. He's made his name known among the pirates...he's a good captain and a good sailor, better than a lot of the others. His ship's name is The Fury. |

Named after- Sorbus aucuparia (Rowan also known as Mountain Ash) Which in folklore is the "Tree of Protection" and is said to protect against witches. It is also believed by druids to protect the spirits of the dead.

Physical Appearance- Rowan has a rather larger build, being tall meaning he can never be 'skinny' but he isn't fat, most of his 'large' look is muscle(not workout kind but the kind that gets the job done.) He has rather long, chocolatey brown hair that is naturally very curly. He has icy pale blue eyes and a fully symmetrical face. His hair reaches down to his chest.
Voice- Rowan has an averagely deep voice, nothing harsh but not like a child, his voice is rather soothing and has a small bit of rasp every once in a while. Some describe it as someone being cozy in a warm, fluffy blanket with hot cocoa and a fireplace.
Disabilities- VSS (Visual Snow Syndrome, which is a Neurological Disorder)
Brief backstory-Rowan grew up in a middle-class family full of rather emotionally harsh parents who didn't understand how to take care of a child with deep-rooted empathy and overall fragile emotions. Because of this, Rowan struggles with his emotions controlling him instead of the other way around. His parents were overall emotionally abusive, making him believe he barely had control over his life, causing him to cling to the few things he could, including when he wanted to eat and how much. His parents had commented on his weight several times, causing an eating disorder to occur around 13. Being homeschooled his whole life has caused him to struggle with certain aspects of socialization. He went no contact with them around 18, right before he was lured into a secret Terrorist Organization, where he was saved from the said organization by a Southern American man who was the founder and commander of a PMC(Private Military Company). Rowan still has a deep-rooted loyalty to that man. |

Alright! we could have him a) patrolling and catch sage, or b) sage is already caught and tried and such and hes his guard but helps him escape before he's hung or something |

(alright!) Sage was pacing his cell. Well....he wasn't sure pacing was the right word, since he could only get two small steps in each direction, thanks to the small space and the heavy iron shackles around his wrists and neck. He didn't like it, but as of right then, there was no way out. He knew that much already. Hopefully, an opportunity would come up. Until then, he'd cause as much trouble as he possibly could. He'd done plenty already....the guards that came past knew to avoid his cell by now. He hadn't hurt any of them, but minor inconveniences had become common. Of course, it also meant they were angry with him by now and we're exactly gentle when dragging him about. And they made sure to bug him, too, when they came past. But oh well. |
