Liberty Norris ✴ Female ✴ 1st Year | 15 ✴ CR: Ryker ✴ Golden Dahlia ✴ M: Estelle | Ryker - Liberty finished her food at 9:30, which was when, if she remembered correctly, she was supposed to be prepping for her first class; Barrels. Liberty cleaned up her breakfast, and returned her book to her dorm before heading down to the barn. She filled Dahlia's water, gave her food, and sat in the stall with her horse as she ate. Her mind kept going back to Ryker, and she didn't like it. Oh stop it, Liberty! You can control your own thoughts! But she couldn't. In fact, she was so deep in thought that she only thought to tack and warm up Dahlia when her mare nudged her arm and licked her face. Liberty came to her senses and tacked up Dahlia for the barrels. Then she hopped on and rode her around at a walk, trot, canter, and gallop to get her warmed up.

Ryker Rivera [] CR: Liberty [] Dashing To Freedom Ryker tacked Dash up quickly and glanced at his schedule. His first class... cutting. He grabbed his rope from a hook and looped it around the horn before leading Dash out, telling his brain to concentrate on the task ahead. After warming the stallion up, he proceeded to have a good class in Cutting. None of the cattle went bonkers and none of the horses spooked horribly, so it definitely went better than he expected. Afterwards he was hot and a bit tired though, but by the time he had walked Dash back and cooled the stallion out, it was lunchtime. Ryker never knew time could pass that fast.

Liberty Norris ✴ CR: Ryker ✴ Golden Dahlia - Liberty and Dahlia's class of Barrels consisted of learning what part of your leg/foot etc. to use when going around a barrel, trotting the pattern, cantering the pattern, and doing a little bit of Pole Bending to teach the riders how to move the horse's body with their legs. Liberty had a good enough time, and Dahlia seemed in heaven with the four other horses. After that, Liberty untacked Dahlia and left her in her stall and headed to the mess hall for lunch. The day had passed quickly so far, and Liberty hoped it would the rest of the day as well.

Ryker Rivera [] CR: Liberty [] Dashing To Freedom Ryker headed towards the dining hall after patting Dash. He had formerly only been worrying about his horse, what cow he had been assigned, how to lean, what to do, and everything else, but now the quick rush of thoughts about Liberty flooded back into his mind. +Stupid ...+ He thought, running a hand through his hair, slightly anxious as he walked inside, grabbing a quick plate of food before retreating to the darkest corner.

Liberty Norris ✴ CR: Ryker ✴ Golden Dahlia - Liberty's mind felt like it was cooling down, and she was ready to see Ryker again. At least, she thought she was. Maybe she wasn't. Arg, why was life so hard?! Liberty was on her way to the mess hall when she decided: she was going to talk to Ryker at lunch. If she saw him. If she didn't, she'd try again at dinner. Liberty walked through the open doors of the mess hall and went straight to the food counter. Liberty looked down at the food options. Asparagus, garlic bread, and potato soup. A good lunch, Liberty thought, as she grabbed her food and found a table off to the side so she could see the whole room and everybody in it.

Ryker Rivera [] CR: Liberty [] Dashing to Freedom - Ryker stared at his potato salad for a little longer before eating it as well. Then everything was done, and he was reading, not paying attention to the rest of the world. He was immersed in the book- the one thing he found successfully took his mind off of Liberty. Reading about Dwight Eisenhower proved entertaining. Every once in a while he would glance up, scanning the hall, but his gaze would return down soon after. The lunch hour seemed too long.

Liberty Norris ✴ CR: Ryker ✴ Golden Dahlia - Liberty stirred her soup, watching the potatoes bob on the surface. Liberty glanced up every 30 seconds or so, but she didn't see Ryker. Then, as soon as she was thinking about leaving, her eyes caught on a student hunched over his book in the corner. It was unmistakably Ryker. Liberty gulped. Was she ready for this? No, I'm definitely, positively not. But she needed to do it. Otherwise she may never have any other friends here again. And they still had a LONG time here. Liberty braced herself, stood up, and stepped away from her table. She walked purposefully toward Ryker and his very immersing book. Liberty got there a few seconds later. She stood a few yards away, hesitating. Then she let herself sit down at the table across from Ryker. She didn't say anything for a few seconds. Then, painfully and quietly, she said, "Sorry."

Ryker Rivera [] CR: Liberty [] Dashing to Freedom Ryker got caught up in a rather interesting part about battle tactics, then got reminded he was still reading the Art of War, so he had to finish that too. He leaned back slightly to stay wreathed in shadows as the lunch hour slowly crept by. Thumbing through the old, crisp pages of the book brought a rather calming sensation, which quickly disappated as he noticed someone walking towards him. The particular someone that made his heart do jumping jacks in his chest, which didn't feel normal. He waited for a couple seconds to see if she was going to veer away, but then she sat down. Ryker closed his book, after placing a well used bookmark in it, and turned to face her. At Liberty's words he slowly tilted his head. "... ... why?" He finally asked, before seeming to reconsider. "No, wait, I'm sorry. For making things so awkward. I don't know what came over me." He added with a small wince, trying to ignore the feeling in his stomach.
